I needed the sound of a lion bounding into a circus trailer for a story i was recording. So i experimented hitting an empty wheelie bin with a broom.

It sounds something like a lion roaring, but it is me purring.

Deep growling rumble. Sounds like a monster or a lion. Made with a block scraping along a cement floor, pitch shift and reverb added.

I created this monster growl for ashtur's lovecraft character in a live action role playing game i organized. I used lion and elephant growls i recorded in a zoo with my ipod equipped with tascam im2x mic.

In this sound i can imagine a monster in a horror game that is stressed because it can't catch its prey or another thing i can imagine is that the beast has been injured and is roaming around in pain. I made this sound using vocal sounds from a lion! i used fl studio like i always do and added effects like reverb, some eq and i also reversed the file to. I recorded my voice while playing freelance horror games; scp-087-b and slender sanatorium. This was so i could get genuine reactions to use as stock voice clips for future use. Some pretty interesting stuff came out. I said this upon seeing the lion statue.

Recorded on 03/12/2010 at the lion enclosure - melbourne zoo, australia. Recorded with a zoom h2 in 2-channel surround mode, with a windshield. This is the rear channel only, to minimise the train/tram noise from the front channel. File has not been modified.

When i first tested out my zoom h5 i began talking into the mic and then all of a sudden i needed a sneeze. I was about to stop the recording but then thought it would be good to record the sneeze to see how it handled my loudness. Well it coped very well and the recording came out perfect!so, here it is. I also played around with it in audacity and slowed it down which makes me sound like a roaring lion. Have a listen to that one too, it's uploaded here!it's called 'sneeze_male_slowed_-86%'. Enjoy!.

Something i threw together for a personal project i was working on. I couldn't find any high quality samples of a dragon so i decided to make my own. This was created using ableton and contains the following sounds:a dog growlinga lion roara horse gruntingan elephant vocalisinga flamethrower sound. All sounds used were obtained from royalty free websites and manipulated using software so that the original samples are not identifiable. The combining, layering and processing of the sounds were all done by myself within my daw. I hope those of you who find this are able to make great use of it.
