This was recorded on london bridge, the sounds include people walking and cars driving past, the traffic was moderate and not many people were around when this was recorded. Recorded using a marantz.

Winter morning in south london, builders erecting scaffolding (not busy), traffic passing, general ambience. Recorded on zoom h6. Some wind noise.

A london double-decker arriving to a bus stop, stepping on board, validating oyster card. Lower deck - bus driving between stops, doors opening/closing etc, medium crowd chatter. Going to higher deck, driving a few stops - very light chatter in the background. Eventually getting off bus.

5. 1 surround field recording of the center courtyard of the barbican estate, an ensemble of brutalist concrete block highrises in central london/uk. It is a weekday morning, some people are walking and talking on the premises. A group of schoolchildren passes some distance away at the beginning, some light construction work is going on in the midrange, and in the far range the busy city noises of london can be heard. The recorder is in the center of the courtyard facing into the complex. Recorded with a zoom h2n and matrixed to 5. 1 surround.

A two minute clip of birds being fed and squabbling over the bread. Geese, seagulls, coots and ducks on the lake in st james park in london uk arguing over bread scraps being thrown by a londoner. Squawking, water sounds, calls from the birds, some conversation from the humans watching about 30 seconds in and well in the background. Zoom h2 with build in microphones and wind shield. I recorded this on the london underground for an animated project that i'm working on. We boarded the train at bethnal green and travelled several stops until liverpool street. There are a few station announcements along the way. The train itself was moderately busy, but there was not much in the way of background chatter.

A recent visit to london and i recorded these sounds with my iphone4 for a project, they aren't the highest of quality (limited by the mic quality on the phone) but they give a good indication and could probably benefit from some eq to make it sound better.
