This recording was made inside the room of my apartment in italy in the province of rieti, where i am carrying out a second flight test of my eachine e130 single-rotor radio-controlled helicopter, during the recording we also hear some small incidents. Tennis ball bouncing on a tennis racket: in this sound you hear a tennis ball bounce on a tennis racket. At times the racket makes a metallic sound when the ball bounces off it. Recorded using the zoomh4n and the rode ntg1 condenser shotgun microphone. I added a low shelf and and 2 bands to try and make it sound less metallic at times. The ball used is a wilson ball and a wilson tennis racket.

I captured this excited pileated woodpecker on the edge of some deep woods, on a hot dusk in august 2010. It was about 7:30 on a calm night at the edge of the shawnee national forest. The tempurature was 85 degrees. What i find really enjoyable though is the rising, and ebbing and flowing of, i believe the typical summer cicadas. Recorded using my zoom h4n recorder using the internal buil-in microphones.
