An 18" ram's horn shofar being sounded from a few feet away. Three long blasts. Recorded on a zoom h4n using an earthworks sr6916bit / 44. 1khz wav.

These sounds were created from xpand!'s sitar sound font and musescore's clave sound font. They were used in an ambient track simulating the sounds of exploring an ancient egyptian tomb. This could be used as a transition, when discovering treasure or a secret passage, or any number of events that need an egyptian or middle-eastern flavor. No need to credit me for this sound, but feel free to let me know how it was useful for you in the comment section below.

Recorded right next to a mosque in alanya from my hotel balcony. Recorded in stereo at 24 bit with a sony pcm m-10 with furry windshield. A group of 5 people - 4 guards and 1 nun (woman), walking fast from the distance until near the mic, stop, and then one man moves forward. Walking with boots on stone floor, sound of metal, swords, armours mixed with the steps. Two men and the nun carried a wireless mic. Recorded with sound devices at 48k 24bit in 6 channels. I've benefited from freesound in the past so i wanted to give something back. I created this audio sample of the black speech of mordor (a section of the ring poem), as part of a cinematic orchestral lord of the rings piece to add flavour to it and wondered if others might find a use for it in their own projects. The sample does have added reverb but to my ears this is not excessive. The phrase is:-. Ash nazg durbatulûk,ash nazg gimbatul,ash nazg thrakatulûkagh burzum-ishi krimpatul. This translates to:-. One ring to to rule them allone ring to find themone ring to bring them alland in the darkness bind them. No attribution required but it would be nice to know if anybody uses it. ;-).

Eastern vibe instrumental loop that i worked on a few years back. Could be cool remixed and chopped up etc. . . Or as is. . . Do whatever you like with iiiiit! peace and biscuits.

Me playing on tanpura (an indian instrument), sometimes also called a tambura. It's tuned to c (either major or minor as it's first and fifth). Actually meant this to be a different file. I'll add that as well.

The only fail of this pack was made all sounds scream too much since the beginning of the range :(.

This is a basic drum loop featuring a performance on the udu, a middle eastern hand drum. The stereo sample actually consists of the same rhythmic patttern performed on two individual drums of different pitches assigned to the left and right stereo channels. This loop would work well for a bollywood-style production or anything requiring a little bit of mid-eastern flair. Enjoy! feedback welcome.

I used a bandpass filter of 50 bandwidth at 475 hz on audacity to transform a goat "baw". The sound isn't too unusual, just a little more hollow than the original due to the very small spectrum i use. There are two goats.

I recorded several different guitar riffs played on an eastern, egyptian music scale and then multi-tracked the recordings. Polished the rendered audio a bit with reverbs as well.
