These are some hydrophone recordings i made for a game-jam project. Since the project was nothing but good fun, i have uploaded some of the more useful sounds to freesound. Org for everyone to use.

I've created this sound for my project by layering a lot of sounds together, since i couldn't find the right sound here. Feel free to use it :). Comments and ratings welcome :).

A simple looping sound of rain, recorded one morning on my back porch with a zoom h2n field recorder in mid-side stereo, allowing for the sound to be perfectly collapsed into mono as well.

A chord progression loop i pulled from one of my remixes. Made with stacked synth pad and bass layers, and compiled in reaper.

I recorded this on my yamamha pocketrak directly off my simmons drum amp using my epiphone sg with a vibrato pedal and a little whammy bar. One track duplication for each effect. Please comment on what you may use it for. Thanks. :-).

Recorded in an office garden in newcastle city centre, general atmos, a siren at one point, there is the constant hum of an air conditioning unit in the background.

This file replaces one uploaded earlier. Hope it's better. First sound is magazine insertion. The rest of it is operating the slide to chamber a round. Weapon is a 9mm sigsauer. Am i serious about it? yes.

One of the ubiquitous announcement cars in an outer neighborhood around san miguel de allende, mexico. Recorded with zoom h1n, stereo, 24-bit, 48khz. Car is distant and receding from the listener.

Three regular beeps of a smoke alarm, followed by one final slowly dying beep. Warning, this is super loud and ear-piercing compared to other sounds, turn your volume waaay down before testing out this sound.

A drum loop for electronic dance music. The kick and snare are the loudest parts of the loop so this one is very hard-hitting and impactful.

A crackling fire burning in the fireplace. Wood and paper are burnt -- there is some audio of paper being crumpled near the beginning. The recording is low, but made from about one foot away with very little room noise.

Just tried to make a sound you would hear on a nes or a gameboy. Just took a random sound and took one small part of it and repeated it over and over. Which made a kind of "beep" sound.

This is the noise the pedestrian scramble crossing lights make. They beep at intervals one seconds each. I recorded this at the scramble located at the intersection of university ave. And union st w. In queens' university.

The ambiance of the famous strasbourg christmas market, known as one of the oldest in the world (first edition took place in 1570) and the city's biggest touristic event, gathering thousands of people downtown for one month at the end of every year. I took my zoom h2n in different places, capturing a slightly different mood each time. Expect lots of crowd sounds, background music, street atmosphere and. . . A lot of different languages (french, german, spanish, english. . . . All recordings made in ms stereo mode (120° setting).

Bi-drum finale. This sound provides an impact point, an action conclusion suggestion. I combined two drum sound samples, one of the impact with a deep echo, and one a hollow wood tube strike against a hard object to a certain rhythm. This is one coqui singing alone. The file was remasterize to eliminate other insects and noise sounds. Was recorded in the west of puerto rico island in the caribbean on june 19, 2022. A curiosity not too many people notice is that the individuals and species sing at different hours of the night and are affected by temperature and humidity. Rain increments the volume and intensity of frequency of the different species, some days one to 3 species can sing. Others you can hear up to 6 species in conjunction with other types of none arboreus frogs.

I asked for a fabric shredder because i couldn't find one, and i knew my dearest would knock himself out trying to. He didn't either but he did have one made, probably at considerable expense. It's a cute little portable unit, i think made of a modified paper(?) shredder, powered by a geared motor from a battery-operated power tool. It's probably a dangerous little work of art. So we're getting dressed in the bedroom after opening gifts on christmas morning, and i decided to try out my new toy. Good conversation, mechanical whir.

An empty car of the metro of porto, portugal arrives at an aboveground empty station on a january morning in 2022. Recorded with a zoom h1n. This was a no-service subway stop so the doors did not open and there is no passenger noise. The audio travels from one side to the other as the metro passes because of the stereo mics. I've benefited a lot from cc by 0 recordings on freesound--i use them for my bandcamp projects. It would be fun to know what you did with this one.

This sound i made with a python script. The script simulates a 2d-network of 13x13 identical masses connected with springs. I 'feed' one mass in a corner of the network with a 'chirp' of 400-2000 hz for one second and the system resonates at its characteristic frequencies. I 'listen' to the resonating system in the adjacent corner. The decay of the sound was build in, but the last half second i edited the volume to zero. The code took a few hours to execute. You may want to change the picture of this sound to the frequency-domain. Yo! awesome! nerd-pride! :-).

Was cooking a ham steak one night and when poking it with a fork noticed it made some awesomely gross sounds, lol. So, like any astute audio lover, i grabbed my zoom and recorded it! did my best to not rattle the stove or anything on it. This is the product of a late night with a new keyboard and a few drinks. Also a first time recording using audacity. All sounds in this piece are bone-stock sounds in the mx49. I only added a bit of mild reverb one sound in one section of the piece. I didn't set out to do something like this - it was only to check some sounds and get familiar with the software. I think of it as the 21st century version of the beatles "revolution 9". I suggest clearing your mind, getting "spiritually lubricated", put in the earbuds, and check it out.

Recorded on a ipad, which seems to pick up background noise from the subway system. Sorry about that. I am on the train, it stops, i get out and hear an announcement on the other side. This station has two tracks, one running in either direction. Generally, when you hear an announcement, you hear mandarin first (woman's voice), cantonese next (slightly different woman's voice), then english in a man's voice. This is line 1 in downtown shenzhen. Interestingly, the next train going in the same direction of the one i got off, arrives within the time of this recording, about 1. 5 minutes later.

A scene from the border of santa monica and west los angeles on one of a couple of nights of rioting and looting in downtown santa monica during the may-june 2020 george floyd protests. One or more sports cars can be heard tearing down the freeway at the intersection of the i-405 and the i-10. Several police cars are en route chasing after the speeding car(s). Recorded from a rooftop from a block or two away. The whole scene gradually fades away.

Some more of the young couple next door. Another one that has some parts louder and some softer. They were at it in bed for at least over 10 minutes. At 0:22 sounds like a toilet flush, maybe one of the was using the bathroom. For the good parts/sex parts, passed 2:00 somewhere is where there starts to be some soft moans. Around 11:15 is when they finish. The conversations they were having before they started to get, and after they finished having, had some parts cut out.

This sound was taken with zoom h4n recorder. Location: meylan, france, in the alps. The town is situated near a 300. 000 inhabitants city, in a valley surrounded by moutains. Description : rain is pouring louder and louder, rolling thunder strikes periodically, exploding like a gunshot or echoing from one moutain to another. (i'm afraid at one point, the sound of a music from a video game played by neighboors was recorded, but apart from these few seconds, this sound is cool ;))hope you'll find it helpful.
