From frederick noad's book: 'idiots guide to playing the guitar. ' noad plays it so beautifully, i could never match him, but i just wanted to try it with the electric instead. Recorded with my squire tele and squire bass into the focusrite interface. The guitar went through the walrus slo pedal on 'dream' setting with editing done in reaper. (shout out to kenny gioia for the tips). Bass was run through my behringer bxl 1800 bass amp and through the interface. Both instruments were triple tracked. Recorded with my epi sg through the walrus slo pedal on dream setting into the focusrite 2i2 interface and into reaper. The bass was recorded with a squier mini-bass through a behringer bxl1800 amp and into reaper. Did a pitch change on the guitar and no quantizing as i like the 'push/pull' feel of the human tempo. May add some percussion down the line. A shout out to kenny gioia for the reaper tutorials. He's the man. Please comment on what you may use it for. Thank. :-).

This is a nice little study written by guillermo gomez and is from frederick noad's book 'the idiot's guide to the guitar. ' it's a great book and don't let the title fool you. Recorded on my yamaha pocketrak and edited on sony sound forge. Sorry it's not the best recording (too much hiss and bass) and i may do it over. Please comment on what you will use it for. Very high velocity stroke with 5a wooden mallet in paiste pst3 20" crash on stand. Recorded with pair of akg p120 mics on stands and tascam dr-60 mkii recorder. Middle-side recording technique. Middle mic next to crash, side mic in a distance of 1m. Recorded in tiny kitchen with doors closed. Few ringing partials were tamed with parametric equalizer. Sound faded out in flstudio edison. Recorded in 96khz and 24bit.
