This standup bass was sampled using a direct pickup as well as stereo overhead mics for some room ambience. Articulations include a normal pizzicato, or finger plucked note; a stopped note as performed with the finger; a stopped note performed bartok style; and some miscellaneous sound effects: a slide by the hand down the strings, a slap on the strings, and a knock on the wooden body of the bass. Spring, catch and pneumatic closer for old, rusty screen door being struck, plucked and generally abused to make a variety of rattling, clanking and twanging sounds.

These harp sound effects i made can be used in many ways such as a transitional music cue if a character is thinking about something.

All sounds are created with the pluck-. Function of audacity. I modified the attack phase, changed some harmonics with notch-filter andlowpass. For the pluck noise i used a bandpass- filtered white noise.

I created this sound with additive synthesis ,using different eg`s and five different sounds for low ,middle and high harmonics. The pluck noise is a filtered noise at the resonance frequency of 523 hz.

The sound is a contact mic'ed piece of pvc pipe which has a drawstring from a pair of shorts tied to it. The sound is the drawstring being plucked. It's could be good for bass lines. The sound was processed slightly in goldwave (some noise reduction/eq adjustments/fading).

A short cello phrase recorded in amstelveen (netherlands) on the 22th of september 2012. A rme fireface 400 soundcard was used and ableton live as recording software. The resulting sound is a mix between recording with a zoom h4n (used as microphone), a dpa 4099 and an oktava mk-012 microphone.

I had read that some bluegrass musicians tune their guitar strings to dadf#ad because it makes playing that style of music easier. But what does it sound like? this is the sound of each string being plucked and then an "open drop" strum, with no frets held down. It was synthesized using the program 'sox'.
