A monster grunt i recorded for a horror game i'm making. Uses my voice, audacity, noise removal, and pitch changes. Could be used as an enemy sound in any type of game with creatures. You don't have to credit me, but if you're feeling generous, feel free to drop my name in your credits: jake giambalvo. Write a comment about what you're using my sound(s) for, i'd love to hear about it.

Assisted breathing for my agonizing friend the day before he died. He told me that the sounds bothered him (morphine made him sensible to ears), that everything was magnified, so i raised the input level to 9, removed the lo-cut and the limiter in order to better understand how he perceived it. He died listening to the annoying noises of the environment, but he will not suffer anymore. See you never more my dear friend. Recorded using zoom h1n (70% of battery when recording).

The sound of a hermes baby travel typewriter in action, typing sentences. The paper is initially wound up, then typing begins, then there is the ding at the end of each line. This continues for a few lines before the paper is removed. This was recorded in-person with a tascam dr-40 stereo recorder. Public domain: i have released this audio file into the public domain. This was recorded during a harsh storm here i stockholm. Harsh winds blowing thru a small forest. Details such as leaves rustling and hard stormy winds are key components in this recording. It sounds like a storm is approaching what do you think?. I honestly don't remember what i did in post. . . I think i removed alot of bass/rumble, added an expander to remove some unwanted noise to help the winds and leaves to stand out. I probably used rx to clean up some unwanted noises. Equipment:zoom h5 + sony ecm 6080s condenser mic. This was a test to see how the stereo configuration on the ecm 6080s sounded like. I really like it but i would prefer an ab configuration with 2 dpa 2011 or even 2 4060. . . I like the sound it was able to capture even if it may be a little to "centered". I probably will try to use it for my future hiking trips to capture rivers and general ambiances, if i get something special i will upload them here. Hope you like it.

Some vocals i did for fun. Obviously good for making tracks, or djs, or whatever you want actually. Recorded this with my laptop screen mic. Processed it in adobe audition. Slight chorus, slight distortion, pitched down a lil, removed hiss, slight high pass, compression and normalize. 楽しんでください、その後再投稿リワーク.

This is a recording of purchasing items at a checkout in a supermarket, including ambient sounds. There is one line of the slovak language spoken by the cashier, but there is plenty of space to remove it or add your own voices to the clip. A collection of sounds i recorded and subsequently mixed together in a composition. Here they are in their raw, unprocessed form. They include:. --continuous clicking from turning a removable screwdriver head--whispered breathing and grunting (recorded at a very high volume for intensity and boomy room tone)--a metal trash can clanging--a warbling falsetto climbing in pitch--faint taps--a plastic pill bottle being shook and twisted.

A dell dimension l600r being booted up and turned off. This will work nicely for those needing genuine sounds from an old computer. The mic was placed directly inside the computer's chassis with the side door closed. No noise-removal has been applied on this recording. Most of the sound in this recording comes from the maxtor hard drive, as well as the 3. 5 floppy drive, cpu fan, and psu fan. Also includes a post beep.

My first ever field sound recording, made with diy mic and sony mz-n707 md, sp mode, mic gain set to "low". Tommorow will make some more :). Gilera runner sp50, 50 ccm 2-stroke scooter, with removed factory speed-limiters (some of them are in the exhaust). Mic was positioned maybe and inch above exhaust. At the begining automatic choke is engaged, hence the high idle revs. .

This was recorded at the edge of a field, so it's literally a field recording. It's summer, there has been some rain but now it has stopped and the sun is out. A lark is singing its heart out. There is some wind noise which i've reduced with eq and noise removal using audacity, also some traffic noise from the road some way to my right (hard to get away from traffic noise). Recorded with a zoom h1 using the in-built microphones.

Stereo recording of about 5 lads skateboarding in a small square (custard factory, birmingham uk). Sound of wheels rumbling and nice meaty thwacks as the lads jump then land. They went around the square and some movement across the stereo image is audible. There is traffic noise from a nearby main road. Some comments and talking between the lads is audible but not clearly articulated. Recorded on a zoom h2 with the built in front microphones (90 degree nominal separation). Recorded as wav, loaded into audacity for removal of handling noise at start and end only.

A light thunderstorm in carrboro, nc. Not too much wind or heavy rain, but some very good thunder claps. As the thunder slowly fades away, some distant traffic and a siren can be heard. Recorded on a zoom h2. This was uploaded as vorbis instead of flac or wav because it's quite long but i thought people might find it useful to have the whole thing. Some intelligent de-clipping was also performed in audacity to remove some slight distortion from the loudest claps.

A recording of a manual typewriter. The author is inserting paper, typing a paragraph, and then removing the paper. Sound of paper being inserted into the typewriter using the paper platen winder. Then the sound of typing of about 50 words. A small bell sound is heard at the end of each line, then the sound of the platen being pushed back to start the next line, and the platen moving the paper up one line. The sample ends with the sound of the paper being wound through the typewriter and removed. I have tried to avoid clipping of each typed letter. There is a lot of percussive multi pitch sound in each typed letter. There is a mechanical escapement that provides a clicking sound as the platen is moved back for the next line. This sample was recorded direct to the hard drive of this samsung nc10 netbook using audacity set to 44. 1khz and 16 bit in mono. A dynamic microphone was used on a small desk stand about 1 foot (30cm) from the typewriter, the stand being on a different table to the one on which the typewriter was used. The microphone was a fairly cheap make (hitachi hmp606) and was pre-amplified using a maycom mictube preamplifier built into the xlr connector, connected to the mic in port of the samsung nc10 netbook. The mic boost was reduced to zero, and the gain of the maycom preamp was at its lowest setting.

Lyrebird is a ground dwelling bird that lives in the australian bush and is very clever at mimicking sounds. This particular bird happens to sound like a science fiction movie! i removed much of the background noise, and lightly processed it with a phase effect. At the end i pitched certain sounds down for a more alien, dinosaur sound. The original sound was recorded on a smart phone.

Recorded with zoom h2 at 96 khz / 24-bit. Edited and converted to flac using audacity, otherwise unprocessed. Midway through recording i have lowered my gain setting from hi to mid to avoid clipping. Some background noise (fridge) is left in for noise removal. I prefer to get raw audio from freesound i can process myself - gives me maximum options, that's why i deliver the same. Tokyo outdoor night ambience. This is a recording of the shinagawa area of tokyo after 1:00 am. Crickets can be heard chirping in the distance, as can cars on a usually busy road. The trainstation is closed, but there is still some activity that can be heard as well as wind and other night ambient sounds. Recording was made on the 6th floor of a highrise apartment behind shinagawa station. 2 mics placed at a 120 degree angle were used. No filtering was used. The only editing done was removal of the beginning and end of this clip.

Foley audio of passing cars on a country lane. Cars passed behind the direction the camera was facing. There's a mild stabilisation noise you may hear which could detriment your audio if not removed. Other than this, the sound is eloquent enough. Oin camera mic has been used from a canon 7d with no wind filter. Recorded in burnley, lancashire.

The recording starts with gentle rain and slow thunder rolling across the sky. The thunder is predominantly in the first half of the recording. The rain increases in intensity in the second half, peaking about three-quarters of the way through. Recorded on a sheltered, outdoor stairway, in a suburban location in south-eastern england, in august 2013; using a zoom h2n recorder set on mid-side stereo, at a 120 degree spread. The original recording was heavily edited, to remove traffic, trains, planes and parakeets(!). Some light, occasional, background traffic noise remains, however.

Here's a non-realistic sound of a nuclear explosion. I've created this for my presentation at sonoj convention 2018:https://youtu. Be/phot0a2xglw. I've removed elements of the sound that were very specific to my use-case to make it more suitable for general use. The sound was made with only open-source software and linux. Namely:. - ardour 5. 12 (daw)- zynaddsubfx (synthesizer)- lots of sound of trash being thrown around i've recorded- open-source audio plugins: calf, mverb, magigaverb, eq10q, airwindows, wolf shaper and more. . .

Recorded just after the clock struck midnight, signaling the beginning of 2023 in greenville, south carolina with a tascam dr-05 stereo recorder. Very nice clear recording with basically zero unwanted noises except for an occasional light water drip. Audio edited to perfection by me. ;) did some light eq, compression, limiting, and stereo balancing, as well as removing some of the constant ambient white noise hiss. Recording #1 of my own shirt flapped, snapped, whipped, waved etc. If you pitch-shift this down (or slow it down) it can sound (imo) indistinguishable from, say, a large flag or large sail being pulled and snapped in the wind. This had recording noise removed, and silences auto-trimmed, with auto-regions from that trimming generated and saved in the file (handy for selecting a sound region easily or exporting regions as a lot of separate sounds). I request but do not demand attribution to me for use of this sound.

A nice crowded coffee shop (coffee shop sounds only, no music). I was looking for a diy solution to loop coffeeshop sounds along with playlists for working at home, and came upon this great recording from waweee:. Original upload here: https://freesound. Org/people/waweee/sounds/370973/. I've edited the original to normalise it and remove bass distortion (makes it louder, clearer and more crisp). Enjoy, and waweee, feel free to seal it back and post it on your account too. Thanks again for the original.

Br class 319 with gec g315bz (gto thyristor) traction motor departing from a standstill, recorded from the centre of the pantograph car. The clip starts with an idle hum, followed by muffled closing doors and power being applied. The hum grows and varies in tone on initial departure, and is joined by an electrical buzz and the echoing high-pitched sound of the traction motor off the surrounding valley. The clip ends with power being removed as the train approaches a station, and crosses a set of points. Note: there is one muffled station announcement within this clip.

Amateur guitar plucking of a tune of my own making, mainly on one string up and down the fret board. Recorded august or september 1984 when i was 15/16. Cassette is a basf cr2-90 (1 of 3). Recorded on my fidelity hi-fi tower, with microphones jacked in. The extra guitar strums near the end were actually unrelated, a technical glitch made an impression of the previous recording to bleed through. Audio has been uploaded using alesis usb tape deck link to audacity, no editing or noise removal was utilised.

Shell casings being dropped onto a tiled floor. I got some shell casings from a local shooting range and recorded the sound of various sized casings bouncing on a tiled floor. I used a usb condenser mic (samson co1u pro) with audacity. The section of floor i dropped the shells onto was surrounded by acoustic panels to dampen the echos. A couple times the casing bounced into the mic stand, but i've left them in because they're still useful. There was some background noise caused by my computer which i removed with audacity.

Sound made by a small electric motor cranking and reversing a lever (on an infant's glider/sleeper). This is one repeat of the sound taken from a larger sound i've provided in this archive (which has repeated takes). If you pitch-shift this down about six steps and add a metal/plate/hall reverberation effect, it sounds remarkably like a sound you hear in the carbonite chamber scene in the empire strikes back :). This was recorded with a sony icd-st voice recorder held next to the glider, then noise removed with an audio tool, then normalized. I request but don't demand credit to me (richard alexander hall) for any use of this sound.

Kid around 4 year old crying (tantrum) outside in the distance echoing among buildings. Some city rumble in background. I edited the sound to remove the mother's voice. Don't put this raw sounds/files on youtube or anywhere else. You can use them in creative way as a part of art-form, but not "re-distribute" as (royalty free) stock material. Thank you.

This was recorded inside the blue mosque in istanbul during friday prayer in may 2005. To get in to the blue mosque with recording equipment we had to get a permission from the religious authorities. We also needed a muslim to operate the equipment since the friday prayers were forbidden for non-muslims. We set up the recording equipment and let our turkish guide hit the record button once the prayer started. The sound is recorded using an m/s rig straight to dat and processed afterwards with a hp filter in protools to remove microphone rumble. Recorded by asbjørn blokkum flø, kjetil bjørgan and the anonymous guide.

This is my first submission to the site. I've recently been exploring sound design a little bit more and thought i would provide something. Here is 15 minutes of ambient sound recorded around 5 am on october 10th, 2011. I used a shure sm58 microphone through a native instruments audio 8 dj interface. Without a microphone amplifier or my active microphone ready to use i ended up amplifying this about 52 db then removed the extraneous noise by 80% @ 40 db using the noise reduction plug-in in adobe audition cs5. 5. Finally, saving the result to wav @ 44,100 hz, 16-bit.

Field-recording of the creek found in old ellicot city, md. The creek is located in a suburban town, and is surrounded by a man-made rock moat about a story below street level. Recorded using a sony pcm-m10 at 24bit, 96k. The sound has been gently processed!!- hpf (6db slope) to remove rumble- compressor (ni supercharger gtx) with a minimal 1db gain reduction in m/s mode and a bit of warmth added. - ozone 5 for a little m/s eq to alleviate some of the watery pops on the sides and a little stereo widening to compensate for the pcm-m10's built in omni mics.

I wanted to find a good creative commons 0 sound effect of fingernails scratching on a wooden surface but i could find the exact thing i was looking for. So i recorded myself scratching my bedroom door with my fingernails using a recording app on my phone and edited it in audacity to remove breathing sounds, and to make the sound feel more heavy/deep, including some very faint reverb. Since i really wanted this i thought it might be useful for someone else! i hope someone else out there like me finds this somewhat useful. Theres a bit of a clicking noise at the end - i think from the recording process.

A soft and subtle, unedited sound recording from my studio in leeds. On the top floor of my terraced house, i have a large window that opens out onto a quiet street in north leeds. A school is nearby, so there are some elements of children screaming, but overall you get a nice wash of bird song, quiet car sounds and mild wind. This recording would be excellent for atmospheric sound for film, tv or whatever else. Feel free to use this sample and contact me if you want some extended recordings as i'm planning on recording a few more field studies from my area, which is lovely and removed from the main city.

This sound field recording was made back in 2000 on a very late/early morning. I placed the sony microphone ontop of the car outside to record the crickets and cicadas. There were a lot of mosquitos out that hot night. One of them landed on the mic and actually bit the microphone. You have to listen close but the bug bites at about 14:28 and removes the mosquito blood sucker at about 34:28. If you want to hear it clearly i made an episode about the "hungry bug" on my show the "sound effects podcast" http://soundeffectspodcast. I created another file to play when you don't recognise a telephone number that calls you, this time the people in the hoax have scottish accents and the music is deliberately degraded to make it scratchy, tinny and annoying. I was inspired by those nasty auto-switchboards you encounter now whenever you call anywhere, my thoughts were that if a spam caller conected to an auto-switchboard hopefully they would remove your number from their listings thinking it a business (most scammers and spammers only want to call residential numbers). Please enjoy using this to annoy the hell out of those bothersome spam callers. The music is royalty free for personal use.

Recording of a door being opened and closed, and then opened and closed again. Very slight footsteps (on carpet) can be heard. The microphone (sennheiser mkh-50) was intentionally placed about 5 feet away from the door so as to capture some of the natural room sound/reverb (which is very subtle). I have another recording available of the exact same door and mic setup, but aimed slightly off-axis to capture just a bit more room sound. Recorded into a tascam 208i audio interface and into adobe audition. Very minor processing (low-cut at 80hz to remove low-freq rumble).

In this sample you hear a recording from inside a well sound insulated room, directly under the roof of a house. Strong rain hints the roof and produces low frequency muted sounds. In the background you hear the constant noise of the rain, coming through the window. There are also a few raindrops hitting the glass of the window. The sample was recorded using the built-in stereo microphone of a zoom h4n recorder. It was slightly processed to remove unwanted low and high frequencies which were not related to the actual recording. If you use this sound, please add a comment or send a private message what you created using it. :-).

Small rocks tumbling down a steep hill. We got in the van and drove down a rural road. On the side of that road, we found land with its topsoil removed, stripped also of its plants, but there were lots of rocks and a small cliff where rocks could tumble down. Our video is freely available, lasting 7 minutes:http://elingreso. Com/2013/06/01/whittington-creek-and-city-park-underground-water-tunnel/.

A la Nanita Nana, is an eighteenth-century Spanish Christmas carol here performed by the chorus of U.S. Army Band "Pershing's Own", led by Colonel Thomas Rotondi, Jr. (Leader & Commander) and CSM Debra L. McGarity (Command Sergeant Major) c. 2010. It is done bilingually, first in Spanish, then in English. The English translation appears to have been done in house by the Army, as I can find no evidence of any other usage. CSM Debra L. McGarity Modifications Levels adjustment - a basic linear tweak, with the lower notes being slightly quieter and the higher notes slightly louder. Also removed a slight tapping noise in the beginning, before the singing starts.

1:56 field recording of exterior daytime environmental windy day in an exposed lincolnshire countryside location, but with mics completely shielded inside a bus-shelter for a less in your face perspective. Mics are pointed upwards into the wooden box roof of the shelter, which has added a somewhat eerie and disconcerting lower mid rumble to the scene. Recorded with a balanced stereo pair of mics and edited to remove intrusions.

Stereo recording made in the generator hall of tate modern between exhibitions. The end of the hall furthest from the entrance was empty, so i ran the recorder for a couple of minutes just to sample the reverberation. Because it is a school holiday in the uk, there were large numbers of children in the gallery, especially on the upper deck bridge about 25m from the recorder, and their voices are higher pitched and their behaviour extrovert. The space is large, so the echoes give a lot of atmosphere. Recorded on zoom h2. Transferred to audacity and high pass filter with breakpoint of 180hz used (12db/octave) to remove the hum that is prevalent at this site. +6db of amplification used, so peaks at -18dbfs.
