This is a drum pattern played by me for a song. It's a full mix of three microphones - one behind the kit, along with snare and kick drum mics.

Decided to call this sound "electronic modular rhythm" since i found only one other spot on the net with that combination of words. This is a synthesized hi-hat groove. It is basically an on two layers sequenced noise-patch. One layer to create the "closed hat" effect and another one to create the "open hat" effect.
