Layered a nice snare, some noise, clap, and even a really pitched up kick( like 24 semitones up) to get this sound. Added in some tape saturation and compression(rough rider) and voila, i made a dirty snare. :).

Raw studio recording of bicycle turned upside down with pedals moved by hand in various speeds. Bicycle recorded is some old giant mtb model without proper lubrication done for weeks. Mic: rode nt4 (stereo xy)pre & converter: spl crimson.

I made this sound on beepbox. Co right after i rode a mississauga transit (miway) nova bus lfs serving route 48 north. The nova bus lfs is a 40-foot transit bus made by nova bus manufacturer. Miway ordered several of these buses to replace the new flyer d60lfr and el dorado ez-rider buses.

Frequent tube riders may be familiar with the hum that happens between two stops, (i can't remember which two. ) for a moment, it gets a little too loud and freaks you out (around the 1:40 mark). The rest is just tube ambience. Recorded in stereo on a zoom h4n.

In the book of revelation the lamb of god opens the seals to reveal the four riders of the apocalypse. In turn each calls "come and see" voice recorded with voice recorder on android cell phone and processed/layered 4 times using pitch shift in audacity. This is myself doing some voice acting for my music projects.

They are referred to as different things but overall a creepy, evil, raspy, breathy type screeching sound. I created this with a type of practiced scream on a blue yeti usb condenser microphone. I recorded in audacity and added some reverb, fade in, and fade out. It was originally for a video game voice over audition. I also have the original with no fx if needed. My example/inspiration were the creatures in lord of the rings, fellowship of the ring. They are also called the fell riders and the black wings (when they ride the fell beasts), as well as the shadows, the servants of sauron, and the nine servants of the lord of the rings. The orcs of the tower of cirith ungol call them shriekers. I download from this site often, so i thought i would return the favor :). Feel free to contact me with any other requests!. Standing on the east side of michigan avenue near ontario street, chicago, 7/16/16 at 10:07pm. Lots of passing traffic, squealing brakes, distant voices, distant sirens. A busker in the middle distance is playing his recognizable clarinet licks. Around 3:14 a group of motorcycle riders pass revving their engines. Edited to remove potentially copyright infringing music (captured playing out of passing cars and motorbikes). Recorded with two countryman emw lavaliers in a head-mounted binaural arrangement, into a tascam dr-40 recorder. Processed to remove excessive bass rumble and compensate for eq curve of lavaliers.

This was a recording taken on a small train riding around the louisville zoo in kentucky, usa. I took this towards the end of the tour, and was on the back of the train so you can hear the announcer quite clearly directing us. Sorry if there’s some talking in the background, i was siting next to my aunt’s little foster child at the time and he was enjoying himself quite a bit. You can hear the train rumble against the tracks and slowly slow down, as well as some chatter of the riders and passerby. Used this myself in my song bossa nova- https://soundcloud.
