Hello all!i recorded this sample today, 10-11-2012 in la, ca, usa. I needed a radio tuning sample and i wasn't pleased with the ones i found, so i recorded one with my zoom h2!. I realized i actually didn't have a radio, so i went to a thrift store and bought one for $4. 34. It sounds perfect for what i need. This sample is in 44. 1khz, 24bit. This is the result of my big work with some samples from freesound and some samples that i made by myself. They were mixed all together and edited using lots of vst effects and software, reversed many times and mixed again, sampled in lo-fi quality and then again and again. . At first i wanted to use it by myself but then i thought: "why not share it with people? that can be useful. ". So please use it as you like, maybe you're an ambient or avantgarde music producer as me, and that can help you in your music. . Could be useful as a background. Enjoy!.

I searched for a long time to find a jaws harp sample and eventually found one and successfully extracted a few notes from a very old appalachian folk song field recording, well out of copyright. I sampled a single note, which then fed ok into a midi keyboard, allowing me to effectively play jews harp melodies. The result was pretty ok.
