A really gritty and lo-fi drumbeat, which sounds like it comes from some ancient tape recorder. This is the end section, the wind-down, as the tape comes to a stop. 120 bpm | original by old_waveplay. Use this however you like!. Have fun, see you on the other side!.

This siren whistle sound is often used as a comical cartoon sound effect where something is sent flying through the air. The acme siren is a chrome plated whistle that is often found in the percussion section of orchestras. Recorded in my home studio using a rode nt1a through a focusrite liquid saffire preamp and protools 12.

Recorded at a storm sewer grating at shaw st & manchester ave in toronto's seaton village neighbourhood, on 24 apr 2012. Made from a tom drum i created with xfer serum in reaper. Rendered the instrument as audio, then, sampled a small section of the tom and looped it infinitely to create a static frequency. Then i added the reapitch vst and created a smooth automation curve down to -24 semitones. Lastly, i added a short fade in and long fade out.

First attempt at recording with audacity and my new keyboard. All sounds are bone-stock from the mx49. I've only added a little reverb in one 15-second section of the piece. I didn't intend to do anything in particular, just checking out sounds on the keys and getting familiar with audacity. I think of it as a 21st century version of the beatles "revolution 9". If you haven't listened to that, you need to.

This is around 10 minutes of a hand drum groove at 113 bpm, but there are many little random variations, so you can chop it up and loop just the bits you like, or let the little drum section play as you tie up your man bun, kick your hackey sack and shake your money maker around the drum circle.

Trumpet offers the effect of the brass section in an orchestra. Note: Horn is the low pass filtered version of the register Trumpet, not an additional register! These were recorded may 26 2007, about two weeks after the first spring peepers (pseudacris crucifer) were heard in the area. A dog in a distant garden can be heard barking a couple of times in this recording, but if anyone needs a clean recording i can probably find another, similar-length section of the original without extraneous sound. Or it could probably be edited out without too much trouble.

Through an harmonic model, the low brass section have been separated of the trumpets and then a series of harmonic (harmonizer) transformations have been done in order to include a major third and a perfect fifth in the f0 = a2 harmonic serie. The a tuning is a little bit down from 110hz (~106-107hz).

Process: a while ago i worked on a game and recorded several sound effects, one track after another. With the session set up the way it was, i opened all the channels and selected a section and exported it. After exporting, i threw it into paulstretch, and rendered that at the default settings. This is the result. If you use it, shoot me a message with a link to the project! i'd love to see how it's used!.

This is a section of a recording i did when a school nearby had a field day. There's a decent part in the middle, where the wind sound is practically gone. I used some filters to take out the wind sound as much as possible, but the high end whistling of the wind is still a bit audible. Feel free to use this in anything!.

This is a recording of applause at the end of the concert in a large auditorium. The conductor and performers walk off and on stage for multiple bows throughout. This is recorded with a small field recorder from a seat in the audience. The file politely clips in parts as people near me clapped, but it's not noticeable. The cough in the beginning is easily cut out, the file loops really well, so you can just delete that section, and it will sound continuous.

The sound is of an lg french-door refrigerator that just had the compressor replaced but had too much freon loaded. The tubing dedicated to the freezer section accumulated frost which internal fan blades were rubbing against. Later, a savvy technician released some measure of freon and the sound went away. So the sound is now only a memory. No effects or alteration has been applied. The sound was recorded using 'voice record pro' by dayana networks ltd using an iphone 11, ios 15. 6.

Made for the ice-breaker collab. Simple mournful loop with deep kick, flute and strings. Tempo=90 bpm. An arpegiated supersaw over drone effect (wollo drone) repeats 3 times. First iteration includes a melody played as a flute. Second iteration of the loop has the flute replaced with a full string section. Third time around, it's just the arp and drone. All three versions of the loop have a deep, reverberating and mellow kickdrum. Sounds tribal(-ish). Created in flstudio 11. 04 with virtual instruments and vst eq + reverb.

Took a drum loop and pitched out 3 different layers of itself, one at half speed an octave down, one at quarter speed 2 octaves down, and one on top that starts out chopped up into separated transients and returns to full speed at the end. I originally made this to be 3 different levels of progression for a backing drum-loop, with the first section being the buildup, the second as the transition/windup, and the third as the breakdown.

These sounds were created from xpand!'s sitar sound font and musescore's clave sound font. They were used in an ambient track simulating the sounds of exploring an ancient egyptian tomb. This could be used as a transition, when discovering treasure or a secret passage, or any number of events that need an egyptian or middle-eastern flavor. No need to credit me for this sound, but feel free to let me know how it was useful for you in the comment section below.

This is a recording of the doppler heart monitor that doctors use to check out baby's heart during pregnancy checkups. This was was made on february 28, 2007 at sutter in berkeley, ca by plugging my marantz recorder into the doppler instrument. There is a bunch more that is my wife's and the baby's intermingled (with the recorder plugged in we had no way to monitor), but this is the section that has the fetus isolated. If anyone is interested in the whole thing, let me know and i'll put it up.

Shell casings being dropped onto a tiled floor. I got some shell casings from a local shooting range and recorded the sound of various sized casings bouncing on a tiled floor. I used a usb condenser mic (samson co1u pro) with audacity. The section of floor i dropped the shells onto was surrounded by acoustic panels to dampen the echos. A couple times the casing bounced into the mic stand, but i've left them in because they're still useful. There was some background noise caused by my computer which i removed with audacity.

This is the product of a late night with a new keyboard and a few drinks. Also a first time recording using audacity. All sounds in this piece are bone-stock sounds in the mx49. I only added a bit of mild reverb one sound in one section of the piece. I didn't set out to do something like this - it was only to check some sounds and get familiar with the software. I think of it as the 21st century version of the beatles "revolution 9". I suggest clearing your mind, getting "spiritually lubricated", put in the earbuds, and check it out.

I composed a fairly long midi loop of chord progressions & let each section repeat twice. Then i layered a bunch of return tracks of the same line with arpegiated outputs played with straight, quarter note swing eight note swing, 16th note swing, & 32nd note swing all played together. The output was then compressed, heavily chorused through multiple fx devices, and stereo panned into the nonsense you hear. If you use this please comment a link, i don't need/want credit i'd just be super curious to see what you did with it!.

This is a section of the pack with 50 bass drum varieties. Most of them are just minor changes and they resemble extremely "similar" sounds however they're based on different wave forms which are mixed together to form varieties. Other parameters were mashed, some may have distortions some may not. All the sounds you hear are synthesized. Generally these sounds are for dance music, some of them are well suited for more experimental music as well. But it should not be limited to just techno or trance. . . .

This is the final piece for our final project of sound creation laboratory. We have made changes in several ways: erasing redundant information (such as spoken words), filtered a section of the piece in order to make a sense of outside the club or inside the club. We also introduced an echo effect to make the effect of a drunk state. Furthermore, a bed sound has been placed at the final of the piece. This is a good improvement related with the final impression the piece gives to the audience. It's a recreation of tired atmosphere and also of the desire of sleeping.

A field recording made as i walked on the north side of bloor st w, near shaw street in toronto on the evening of 29 may 2011. This is a commercial strip with many ethiopian bar-restaurants, outside of which men gather to smoke and have conversation. A section of the recording at https://freesound. Org/people/nlux/sounds/620955/ re-purposed for use in the makenoise morphagene eurorack synthesizer module. A high-pitched, metal windchime, sent through some granular processing software. The reel is divided into two, long halves: one with the sound playing forwards and one with it playing in reverse. This means i can easily switch from forward to reverse without tuning issues, simply by applying cv to the morphagene's 'slide' control.

An Edison "Perfected" Phonograph cylinder recording of The Lost Chord (composed 1877) by Arthur Sullivan (1842-1900), played on piano and cornet. One of the earliest surviving recordings of music; was played at the press conference that introduced the phonograph to London on August 14 1888. Cuts off slightly before the ending of the song. The recorded version is somewhat abridged (a middle section has been cut, possibly due to time constraints). Overall a well-preserved example of wax cylinder recording technology. Length: 2:07

A recording made february 24th, 2019 in a residential section of a small midwestern town. . . The stiff north winds are rattling the remaining dry leaves. . . You will also hear the subtle singing of the birds that always greet you in late winter. . . Birds like house sparrows and starlings. From time to time, you'll hear the tinkly, nice sound of some wind-chimes hanging on the front porch of some house. The skittering of dried and old leaves scooting across the ground also makes an appearance. Enjoy this cold late-winter soundscape!.
