Early on a sunday morning next to the itchen bridge in southampton. The tide is out, you can hear birds (seagulls, etc. ), distant engines and other noises from the city including church bells. City centre southampton at about 7:30am on a foggy morning. You can hear foghorns from multiple vessels on southampton water, traffic, birds, businesses preparing for the day and a mixture of bird noises. Rode svmx into tascam dr-22wl21-09-16_073244_foghorns_svmx. Wav.

The sound of southampton water at around 5am on a bank holiday monday (national holiday). The microphone was placed right at the shoreline where the water meets the land. There are distant boats/ships, the oil refinery and a few sea birds. The wind was about 2 to 4 mph and that created some very small waves that can be heard lapping against the shore.
