This is the base musical measure for my other upload. By layering this and overlapping it out of time you can create something huge.

This wa maybe my first attempt at doing something that i would describe as steve reich-y (not knowing very much about steve reich) which is a method i got slightly obsessed with. Basically (for me) it was creating a short measure for a few instruments (apso uploaded here) but then layering them, slightly and increasingly out of time, so that they go out of phase and create a huge trippy musical canvas that you couldn't have predicted from the opening measure (well i couldn't, but i know nothing about music).

I steve reiched a 'tune' i made with the celeste sample from my edirol orchestral plug-in and i think it makes good atmospheric music for a variety of things, depending on where you are in the track. It only really gets going from about 1:35 but after that i think it makes good fairy tale, horror, meditation, relaxation and mystical/cosmic soundtracks.

Forward with NOAA the NOAA Corps Song The "NOAA Corps Song" is actually entitled "Forward with NOAA." In 1987-88 the National Association of Commissioned Officers (ACO) was interested in commissioning a NOAA Song. Captain (then Commander) Steve Manzo was a member of the ACO Executive Board and volunteered to assist. Manzo contacted a long-time friend, Bob Arberg. Bob's father, Bud Arberg, had actually written the music and words to the "Army Song" -- while assigned to the Adjutant General's Staff during World War II. Dr. Arberg (former Princeton graduate in music) was retired and he readily volunteered to write a song. Dr. Arberg was provided reference materials on the NOAA Corps. He recognized at the outset that this was an attempt to build NOAA Corps morale and he cautioned that buy-in/acceptance within the Corps would not be easy. The song was first presented at a National ACO Dining-In in either 1988 or 89. Secretary of Commerce William Verity was present, as were both Bud and Bob Arberg. Bud Arberg played the piano and performed the "NOAA Song" to the assembled group of 150 officers and guests. Upon completing the NOAA Song, Secretary Verity graciously presented Dr. Arberg with a small gift of thanks on behalf of DOC/NOAA/NOAA Corps. The music was arranged by the USAF Band. 808 drum sounds played through an orange amplifiers "micro crush" miniamp recorded for stereo ambiance in the original batcave. These work well as drum layers under more conventional sounds, and in other creative ways. Recording assisted by steve and mikro.

Clean notes played on a home-made diddley bow. Sampled with an electric pickup and a little added reverb to make up for lack of sustain. Seasick steve inspired me to construct a diddley bow (it ain't hard). All you need is a length of wire, 4 or 5 ft of two-by-four, some timber nails, an empty bottle and a hammer.

In 2016 he installed his water drops sound work in rijeka airport in croatia, ghosts at cliveden national trust uk, and scored the world’s first ever virtual reality ballet, nightfall. He scored the hit musical comedy kirikou & karaba (2007) and narnia ballet (2015) based on the popular children’s book, philips wake-up light (2009), the re-opening of the stedelijk museum, amsterdam in 2012 and in 2018 released an app that measures the quality of soil in europe with live data with artist kasia molga. His work salles des departs is permanently installed in a working morgue in paris whilst vex house, the residential house he designed a permanent soundtrack with chance de silva architects, won the riba london award 2018.
