Romance Anónimo (Anonymous Romance) is a piece for guitar, also known as "Estudio en Mi de Rubira" (Study in E by Rubira), "Spanish Romance", "Romance de España", "Romance of the Guitar", "Romanza" and "Romance d'Amour" among other names. Also used in René Clément's 1952 film Jeux interdits (Forbidden Games). Authorship is disputed (see WP article).

I was waiting for a person inside the conservatory of venice and i decided to try some field (or better room) recordings. There were two chinese students talking to each other, some passerbys, an elevator and people reharsing and studying music. Recorded with a zoom h1, low cut in audacity.

In my animation project , i needed a sound of yawn, when a young male gets out of the tent in the morning. In short time i just found some samples are little "noisy" to the scene, then i decided to make a "silent" one by myself. The equipment used: the mic on logitech h600 headset, hp pavilion laptopsoftware: adobe premiere pro running on windows 8. 1location: my study + bedroom.

This is something that my on-line teacher has me playing. I took up the guitar again and even though this is a short piece it has a certain beauty to it. It should be played faster, but i think it also sounds nice at this tempo. The recording has a hiss and i don't know why as my recorder is a yamaha pocketrak. I tried editing out the hiss in sound forge but it also took away some of the music sound, so this is it as recorded. Please comment on what you may use it for. Thanks. :^).

Jaroslav Jezek was born in Prague 1906 and studied at the Prague Conservatory, graduating in 1927. He studied music during the period of the new freedom with its' influence of American jazz and dance on Czech composers which can certainly be seen in Jezek's works. From '28-38, Jezek composed music for 20 plays and revues performed at the Liberated Theater where absurdities of the times-moral hypocrisy, the mistakes of democracies and the inanities of totalitarianism-especially of the Nazis, were humorously skewered. He composed waltzes, tangos, charlestons, rhumbas, and jazz for his admiring Czech audiences. During WWII he moved to New York, possibly because his past criticisms of the Nazi Party would have landed him in prison. He continued to compose there in 1939-41. He died in New York in 1942. The Bugatti Step was written to commemorate Czech racing car driver Eliska Junkova's 2nd place finish in a Swiss mountain race in '27 in her huge Bugatti touring car, seen at 2:08 in this vid. So i've made a skit 10 or so years ago. It was for a story i had designed called "axe troopers" 3 kids with an axe trained to be assassins. Literally do not have anytime now to study animation have to raise my daughter. But this lovely piece has been sitting on my hard drive. . . . I was curious what it would look like if it was animated in any way. . . So here it is! please message me if you ever get a chance to animate this piece at all. . . A soft and subtle, unedited sound recording from my studio in leeds. On the top floor of my terraced house, i have a large window that opens out onto a quiet street in north leeds. A school is nearby, so there are some elements of children screaming, but overall you get a nice wash of bird song, quiet car sounds and mild wind. This recording would be excellent for atmospheric sound for film, tv or whatever else. Feel free to use this sample and contact me if you want some extended recordings as i'm planning on recording a few more field studies from my area, which is lovely and removed from the main city.

I have built a nonlinearcircuits sloth lfo, the regular version. Sloth is a chaotic lfo. The output is based on the lorenz system. It is a system of ordinary differential equations. It is notable for having chaotic solutions for certain parameter values and initial conditions. In particular, the lorenz attractor is a set of chaotic solutions of the lorenz system which, when plotted, resemble a butterfly or figure eight (very much from wikipedia). The sloth has two outputs x and y. Think of them as coordinate pairs. The output will probably never repeat itself but there is a pattern. I have built the regular sloth it usually takes approx 15 seconds to make a rough figure 8, one cycle in the “butterly”. Now i’m testing the module in different ways. In this sound i have connected white noise to a filter. The filter frequency is controlled by sloth (x output). In this patch i have set the initial frequency low. That’s why there is a low humming wind noise between the “tops”. The output sound from filter goes to reverb. The sound is more a study of sloth behavior than an attempt to create a great wind sound.

This time i promised my self to make my cuts more musical, you guys know, good outside (or) inside recording can be esthetic in many ways. When you walk around and listen carefully, you can hear music everywhere. When i got home i began chopping, an then i realized i could turn this mini recording session into some cool loops as well. I think its a good way of practicing sound design(or anything musically), to just limit your self some times. Basically got the idea when i was studying musique concréte. (concrete music). Could upload the samples if some one is interested?. I used no effects at all, no panning (stereo recordings) or no limiters/compressors. Some of the recording where made by using binaural microphones. I recorded everything with my zoom h4.

While working on another audiobook, i decided to make this sound. It's 38 voices, each saying different things, panned around and mixed together, creating a "wall of sound" that speaks like 38 radio channels at once. Recorded with a zoom h2 via usb into ardour2. Mixed and exported to flac with ardour2. Ps: it's all polish (with some possible german shout-outs), but the amount of noise makes it almost completely incomprehensible. Only a few words that are being yelled in a different voice can be understood. No sound repeats here, no recycling - every voice and every second of this recording is unique. Yes, it required quite a lot of work to record so much talking in quality! it's almost an entire audiobook squeezed into 5 minutes. Strangely (or not) listening to this makes my mind rest, because the noise blocks all other sounds from the environment - making my mind free of stimulation, allowing for sleep-like rest state. The signal is so much modulated that it appears to be not modulated at all - like static you get from a fm radio of you tune it wrong. The brain receives less data when you listen to this, than when you sit in a room hearing even faint (but distinct) noises from outside, other rooms, other people or yourself. This is sound masking in action. A very interesting psychoacoustic property of human hearing. Also: this is an interesting material to study of my voice's spectral energy distribution while speaking (as opposed to singing). As you can see using the spectrogram view, most energy is present in the band below 600 hz.
