I made a saw wave and put some flanger and paulstretch effects to it on audacity and made this synth-like saw wave inspired by the saw wave sample from the ps1 startup sound. If you want to put a loop to this sound, it's 67109 to 84907 on openmpt. Do whatever you want with this (like sounds or music) and credit me if you want as pk superstar256 (in a fan project) or ismo-kun games (in a commercial project). Yes, you can use this in things that can make you money, just don't make money off of this sound of its entirety in unedited form. On many days i take a two mile walk from my house to my job. One gorgeous day i took my zoom h1 and sampled audio at various points during this walk. To avoid footsteps, i recorded each location standing still. In this file i gradually crossfade between the different locations. The walk begins on a suburban street, goes past a park where children are playing baseball, then a busy intersection, then a factory with open windows. A couple planes can be heard overhead. The last thing in the recording is the door of my job opening. ----recorded with internal microphones of a zoom h1.

Various sound effects from children's toys edited together. All are on a low quality speaker, but are usually unique. All spoken word sounds as well as specific things like laughs or animal sounds are in different sounds. They range from real sounds like cowbells and car horns to blings and ascending synth sounding noises for a correct answer. Some sounds of blowing across the top of a glass bottle. Specifically a 33cl cider bottle. :-). Captured using a rode nt5 small-diaphragm condenser microphone and a zoom h5 recorder. Basic editing in ocenaudio, also applied some slight de-reverberation. I intend to record a proper version later on, including different articulations at various pitches. But that may take a while. Since i have recently found and love this site, i figure it's about time i upload something. I have been making some meditation and relaxing music and made this thing! this was made on ableton with an instrument rack. It's a basic chord progression with a drone note. Its a sine wave folded 4 times by a cgs inspired wavefolder module (kinda like the metalizer from the minibrute). The whole thing is then modulated with an external function generator that controls amount and frequency of modulation. This is what came out and it's pure junky drone noises, so goddamn nasty. Absolutely love them. Feel completely free to sample this and use it for your own purposes. This is a diy synthesizer i'm building and unfortunately it is still a prototype, but i'm gonna finish it soon and hope to sell it. Cool indeed, isn't it?.

The sound is not as clean as in the virtual one. To some extent i blame my method of recording. . . Different oscillators sound different. Here i use a self oscillating filter. That produces a clean sinus wave. The cleanest sinus in my rack. But i guess the real thing is not perfect and that is what you are hearing? in neither of the patches i use a quantizer. . . (that's art :-)and, i almost forgot, i use a cheap analog delay pedal. Noisy. . .

A peaceful, drowsy-ish recording of a midwestern usa large field bordered by heavy forest. This was recorded in mid summer, on a very hot day. Temperature was 90 degrees, but, with 45% humidity it was manageable. The good thing about this recording is i was far enough away from humanity's engines to get no cars, no boats, no loud. . . . Anything. Well, except the insect chorus. This is the time of year in illinois that autumn is getting imperceptibly closer. The skies are clearer blue with less humidity. . . A few trees had red leaves. Nature taking a breather. Recorded at 2:30pm on thursday august 26, 2022 using a mixpre 6 recorder. Left channel: rode nt5 cardioid microphone. Right channel: sennheiser mkh 416 microphone.

A little thing i came up with while doing some research on how j macis writes music. Found out he puts a capo on the second fret and by doing that this japanese pop chord progression i learned by watching a video marty friedman did on japanese style guitar improv was sounding a lot better than without one. This is a recording of an escalator at the main bus station in helsinki, finland. I heard it making this sound one day. It was quite loud in the space and i heard if from far away. It sounded like a street performer playing an odd instrument. I imagined that a drummer would have had fun jamming along with this. I missed the opportunity to record it that week, but luckily the thing wasn't fixed the next week when i was again at the same place. This was recorded with iphone xr, so it's not super quality (i actually took a video really close to the escalator, hoping the video recording gives the best sound), but maybe somebody finds some use for this (the sound can likely be well isolated). This is as unprocessed as it can be, straight from the original video.

This sound is created with two sounds that i recorded at the university. First, the sound of the huge door to out, then the lighter (which helps to feel the cold around) and the sound of someone smoking a cigarette. First of all, i cut the two fragment,from two different track, that i wanted for my mix. After, i first worked on the door sound. After i reduced noises, because all seemed better after noises reduced ! i made the same thing for the other sound, the lighter and smoker one. Then i ad the last one at the end of the first one, mix a little bit to make the two sounds seemed natural together. After, i normalized the track. At the end, i saved and export my track !.

Two mourning doves: one close, one far distant, in a mating call and response. Pretty clean, spring pre-air conditioner pollution season background with light birdsong way back. Recorded @ 8khz with a griffin italk mic to a recently refurbished 20gb 3rd generation ipod - my favorite lo-fi field recording / interview rig. If you have a recording device on your person, you get a lot of stuff you'd otherwise miss altogether. This rig helps me get those things too ephemeral to capture with a stereo pair; sounds i would regret not having at all. I keep it on my belt 90% of the time. Just in case.

Bowling alley- the thing with recording a bowling alley is that the pins are so far away. When you’re the one bowling, you’re not really listening to all the chatter around you; in fact your brain does its best to cancel it out (it’s called selective listening, google it), and so you really hear the clamoring of the pins as they crash and fall. Microphones don’t have any such ability; they just take in whatever sound waves reach them, and they don’t care either way about the relative loudness of those sound waves. So what happens in a recording like this is that even though it sounds like any ordinary (busy) bowling alley, the pins sound really far away in relation to the human chatter. This is a hot-humid july ambiance recorded at midday in the shawnee national forest in illinois. The predominant bird you hear is an eastern towhee. His call literally sounds like he is thirsty and tired of the heat of summer!this woods recording has the feel of slow motion summer, but still with the exciting and subtle knowledge that, things are starting to give way to autumn, and indoor schedules and long shadows. . Blok modular set to bang on random keys/throw random parameters in various places. Sort of a kind of fm synthesis but i'm pretty sure blok can do a lot of extra things like place filters/waveshapers after the modulator but before the main oscillator. Don't want to give away much else but you can improv random textures by drawing in a waveshaper window/right-click to drag the drawing from one side to another. Also you can use the atan button to scale the notes on some sort of curve by distorting the note values. I could've added delay/reverb/eq/ ambience but i wanted it to be as dry as possible because that's personally what i look for, raw sounds that you can choose to change if you like. No edits aside from normalizing the. Wav file.

Hi. This is a loop of aurora colorado'sold whelen wps-3016 system test. The city had 3016's, and wps-2810's. They did the wail tone for 3 minutes, and the whoop tone for 30 seconds. This is a one sycle loop of the wail tone. You can hear the other sirens in the system in the background, as well as some very excited dogs that where barking during the whole test. I don't know the exact location of this siren. Also, the system has been removed and replaced with new whelens a couple of years ago. They had a yellow wps-3016 in the sistem hope you like it. Some spooky music i made in garageband for a thing called victors crypt!. It's a wailing electric guitar with some organs in the back creating a scary sound. It's a lot of reverb, echo and delay on it. I think of a creepy crypt with blood on floor and walls. Like something really bad just happens. . . . I believe it would fit anything creepy, scary, haunted. Fantasy, horror, terrifying, dystopia or whatever comes to mind.
