694 Royalty-Free Audio Tracks for "Thing"

A short bach-like improvisation i made with a digital piano sound from fabfilter's 'twin 2" soft synth. No structure to the bars, unpredictable and wandering. Feel free to use as you wish in your mixes.

This is a little thing i whipped up last year while messing around in a music program. Use it in something if you want, maybe credit me if you want to. I don't know, i'm not your dad.

A very basic click. I'm not even intirely sure where i sampled it from. The only potentially problematic thing i could see is the slightly off left/right balance. Makes a cool noise when you loop it too.

Moth-organ is a forgotten instrument. Sad, because it's amasingly useful, and a professional (which i am not)can create many interesting variations. I play only three tones, but listen, it's a cool little thing. I used the best available: hohner 'rheingold'.

Sound of noisily biting into something and taking two bites made by layering a whole bunch of sounds, including the tearing of paper and the shaking of a thing of tictacs. Not necessary, but if you use this in anything i'd love to know!.

I own a guitar which is a sort of cross between a classical and an acoustic. I'm playing a simple emaj to fmaj accompaniment and noodling over the top trying to sound vaguely spanish. Recorded mono with a rode nt5 condenser microphone.

This was recorded in a woodshop with a loud dust collector going on, so it's not the cleanest recording. But if you need a noisy, nasty sounding mechanical thing then this'll do it.

Made a beat that sounds like an intro screen soundtrack, like on gta v! thought it was funny so i'm just going to throw it on here for use if anyone is in need of that kind of thing.

Recorded in the south of france, the sea hitting rocks, not too violent but some movement. On a sunny mediterranean morning. Theres a bit of wind noise towards the end if you're using the whole thing.

This is just a remake of the annoying/endearing catch-all for the flying fairy thing in those zelda games. Thought it be fun if people had something similar to use that was clearly recorded.

Sound of water trickling down to a natural roman bath located in southern spain. Sound recorded on an iphone - sadly, the only thing i had on me. Then put into logic to create some mild separation.

A patch in the eventide dsp4000 kept bugging out on me and this was the result. I couldn't be mad about the glitch because it sounded so cool when it did it's thing. I was just lucky enough to capture it.

I thought that i would record some slide playing on my acoustic guitar, and then cut the entire thing down to make up some licks and notes that people can use. I have used noise reduction, because there was some noise.

Some synth thing i made for a track i was working on. It's a layer of a few different oscillators tuned a certain way to sound harsh. . . Then ran it through a hpf to make it ggrroowwll. . !!!!! and of course a lil echo and stuff. .

I recorded my voice while playing freelance horror games; scp-087-b and slender sanatorium. This was so i could get genuine reactions to use as stock voice clips for future use. Some pretty interesting stuff came out. Suddenly, a thing in front of me!.

Ascending to the second floor in my grandmother's barn. Assortment of thumps and squeaks, including a horribly loud, squeaky pulley and a pedal-operated flywheel thing, and some good footsteps going up and down a wooden staircase. Recorded on a sony pcm-d50.

It's just audio, i explained that to my highly significant other. I try to make people smile. Sometimes. Likely, though, it wasn't the best thing to create. That, i did do. I suppose i also had a point to make.

I used a plug-in called harmor on fl studio 11 and i messed around with highpass and lowpass filters with a very wide resonance. Of corse you can use this ''thing'' for whatever you want because it's totally unoriginal and easy to make.

Created and uploaded in 45 minutes: that's the challenge!. This is more of a little fun loop thing. Polyrhythmic percussions + a brief visit by a droning chord. "this is. . . Earth radio. And now here is. . Human music. ".

This is some more edirol 'composing' this time using an arpeggiater and just really letting midi do its thing. I don't really remember how or why i composed this or what i used it for (if anything) but it's quite dramatic, isn't it?!.

Still random frequency transformed with plugins. This time it's a saw waveform moduled by a sine lfo. Add a little of this and a little of that. Make me thing at a the sound of the rain on a strange planet!.

I was editing a ringtone of the tardis landing from dr. Who when i accidently made this with that bell toll thing. Makes for an interesting alarm sound. No need to credit but would love to see what it was used in/for :). Edited in audacity using the noise reduction setting.

A single step on sand. Made with audacity. It actually started as an attempt to make a laser effect with a dtm generated sound then after some bad decision on filtering it started to sound like a sandy thing. Given that i needed a sand step sound for a game i've kept it.

While i was trying to record other sounds my yorkshire terrier came in and got right in front of the microphone. I enticed her to bark. Funny thing is that she often will sneeze when i give her the bark command. This file is a bit of both.

My first upload to freesound is a thunderstorm recorded in gateshead, uk, next to our open bathroom window. Some lovely thunderclaps and rain. Recorded on a zoom h5. There are also some household sounds swimming around in the background, doors closing, dishes clinking etc; i think you can hear the radio or something very faintly towards the end -- but there's plenty of clean usable thunder and rain in there. Incidentally i often use this type of thing in my long-form instrumental music, produced under the name conelrad. Downpour of rain during the monsoon season in phoenix, arizona. Rain hitting blacktop. Nearly a minute in length and you can hear the rain begin to slacken a little ways into the recording. Recorded with the only thing i had on hand, my phone; an lg v30.

I was on my way to a meeting a few doors down from this intersection and there was some nice sounds happening, it's in the late morning and so people are hard at work and moving around and doing their thing. There's some cool door chimes, trucks, traffic, random conversations, etc.

Yet another "low, bassy thing". Will sound better once downloaded as the preview function sometimes adds compression artifacts. This one is loopable and might produce a mildly stupefied mental state in some listeners. So if you go and load it into your ipod don't try operating a vehicle or playing with power tools.

Recorded myself beatboxing at 87 beats per minute. I did three layers, then copied the whole thing, pitch shifted it and put it back in. Enjoy! use for whatever you like. This was just an experiment, so i didn't use a click track. Apologies for any timing issues.

I just hooked up an 80's radio to my pc via the aux cord and recorded this horrifying thing whilst searching for a radio station on the d frequency. You can use it anywhere, just ask me before and/or mention the source. Or not.
