Four thunder claps from a line of storms that passed through owensboro in western ky dec 10 2021. Recorded with a rode ntg4+ and sony pcm-d50 at 96khz and 16bit depth. Sorry but i did not edit the clipping - which is not really that bad.

This is the sound of gentle rain and distant thunder recorded from the roof in sussex on the 29-05-2017, this storm was very severe out in the channel and towards the east coast, but here it was a mainly soothing experience.

Yes, i'm crazy to stick my head with roland cs10m mics in my ears attached to an olympus ls14 through my back porch door during a hail storm, but what i heard could not be missed. The constant, almost non-stop rull of thunder lends an erie quality to this midnight storm in madison, nj. Got popped on the nose with a couple little stones, but it was worth it.

The recording starts with gentle rain and slow thunder rolling across the sky. The thunder is predominantly in the first half of the recording. The rain increases in intensity in the second half, peaking about three-quarters of the way through. Recorded on a sheltered, outdoor stairway, in a suburban location in south-eastern england, in august 2013; using a zoom h2n recorder set on mid-side stereo, at a 120 degree spread. The original recording was heavily edited, to remove traffic, trains, planes and parakeets(!). Some light, occasional, background traffic noise remains, however.

A vigorous spring rain-shower with some beautiful, far-off thunder. This was recorded on march 27, 2021 in a campground in illinois. One of the thunder strikes is so intense that you can hear the screen door rattling!recorded using the marantz pmd661 and the beyerdynamic 8010 omnidirectional microphone. By the way, the very next day after this was recorded -- while many were sopping up water in their basements -- the day broke beautifully sunny, with not a cloud in the sky. Welcome spring!.
