Hooley The only copy of the recording I had to work from was not particularly high quality, and, though I think I managed to clean it up fairly well, I had to leave some of the background noise in, or the singers start to sound unnatural since cleanup of static does, by necessity, remove some information as well. By removing clicks and pops, then blending a noise-reduced track with the one just cleaned of the clicks and pops, good results can be achieved. Went to målsjön in kristdala, sweden. I was surprised by bird life so early in the year. It's mainly the song tunes that are heard but also other birds like mallards, nuthatch and maybe willow tit and many more. Equipment usedrecorder zoom f4microphones two line audio cm3.

I didn't see which bird this was as i was recording a video and kept the clip for this audio. I have cut the volume of a passing car. The bird singing maybe a blackbird, possibly blue tit, robin comes to mind or a starling which do imitate other birds.

Audio from video clips recorded this morning, thurs 29 april 2021, in south yorkshire. Blue tit right at the start of the recording. Some breeze has got picked up by the microphone on the camera. The bluetits are nesting in our garden and i've been filming them coming and going. They often perch and sing before going into the nestbox. Sometimes it's other bluetits visiting the garden rather than just the two who are nesting.

A grey squirrel (sciurus carolinensis) recorded early afternoon on 23rd july, 2018. The animal was shaking its tail while calling from the trees, approximately, 3 metres from the ground. Recorded with sennheiser k6/me66 attached to a zoom h5. Editing was done with audacity, mainly to cut the worst of the road and aircraft noise. No noise reduction was been carried out. There is some road, aircraft and rail noise. There can also be heard woodpigeon, carrion crow, blue tit and some insects.
