I was just messing around in audacity, like i usually do all the time. I made a corrupt audio file, and i found this extremely weird sound. I got rid of all the white noise, which made it sound even weirder, then i slowed it down and got this sound. You can use this however you want. I'm not sure what it's even meant for, like something being activated, robot beeping, etc. Enjoy. :).

I built it because i could. It is fitted with gliding linear slide carriage bearings, has a counterbalanced offset crank with needle bearings, a jackshaft to drive it from a variable-speed dc motor, and even a variable stroke length (which was tricky). Above all it has something i haven't seen in any of the machines one can buy, a bendable, collapsible coupling that would prevent injury to whomever is on the receiving end of the stroke. Clearly it will never be placed into production as it would cost too much to sell at a typical consumer price level. May all be for nothing because i can't get anyone to let me try it out, and i'm only accepting female applicants from among people i know. It's my machine. Sue me. This file is only 2. 6 seconds in length. If you use audacity to repeat it as i did, it will mesh perfectly together to give you any length audio file you want. I did that to produce "v2-reciprocating machine. Wav. ".

I composed a fairly long midi loop of chord progressions & let each section repeat twice. Then i layered a bunch of return tracks of the same line with arpegiated outputs played with straight, quarter note swing eight note swing, 16th note swing, & 32nd note swing all played together. The output was then compressed, heavily chorused through multiple fx devices, and stereo panned into the nonsense you hear. If you use this please comment a link, i don't need/want credit i'd just be super curious to see what you did with it!.

All in one file, separated with cue points that have file info. Easiest way to sort it out is to use a sound editor that can separate the files by cue points into one folder. Mono 44k and mostly 140 bpm, should be fun for rave tracks. Since these are public domain, you are not required to give credit for any of the sounds (including this collection), but if you want to thank an artist and/or tell them where you used it, just copy/paste the file name into freesound's search field and it will help you find the file page. This is a recording of all in-flight announcements from a flight attendant, the first officer and captain during a flight from atlanta to new york on august 17, 2018, recorded directly from the headphone jack at my seat with a zoom h1n. Each clip is separated by a few seconds of silence. For authenticity, i left all the dc voltage spikes and electronic noise in place. This may be useful if you want an authentic announcement without the acoustics, i. E. Use your own speaker sims or impulse responses to fit into an existing sound design environment. I never did figure out why the first officer said "hello. . . Are you back there? hello? hello?" but it has been captured anyway.

I'm trying to create a sound that resembles captain america's shield from the marvel movies. I took a recording of a metal garbage can ringing and brought it into iris 2. I cut the attack from the envelope and added light amplitude sine wave modulation. I also set a short decay. I also layered a clean sine wave underneath the recording sample in order to give the recording more umph and body when it resonates. This is the base of captain america's shield. Layer this with metal impacts and sub sonic stings and you're all set. Please post a link if you use this file. I'm excited to see what you can do with this!. All of these snoring audio clips on my profile are real recordings of my husband’s snoring!. This one is very loud snoring from the get-go! could be a great sound to use for chewwie! or in a horror film, whichever one comes first. This is the first instalment, recorded from my ipad to play it back to my husband and decided to make use of the audio. Electro-magnetic interference from the colorino talking color identifier and light probe when held near the internal ferrite antenna on the back right of a 13-year-old boombox near the bottom of the am broadcast band, from 530 to 580 khz. You first hear the device inactive being brought near the radio. This gives a low buzz of stacato clicks. At about 00:23 the light probe button is briefly pushed, you hear a quick boop of the light probe with low light level combined with the beginning of the white noise of the device active. If you put your ear near it after you use it, you will hear a slight hiss from the audio amplifier carrier idling for about a minute after last use. On the am radio this translates to white noise. At 00:26 there is a double click and a distorted voice says black. The voice is being picked up by the am radio. 10 seconds of white noise and i press the color button again and it says black. I put something else over the color sensor and it says a few more things. At 00:51 i hold down the light probe button and try to point it at the light above my desk while still holding it close enough to the radio to pick up the emi signal. You hear a warbling tone at 00:59 as the light reaching the sensor increases and decreases in brightness depending on how it's pointed. The signal fades in and out as the device is moved around. This has all happened at 530 khz. At 01:37 i step the radio up to 580 khz where you get a stronger signal. Wibw from topeka competes with the noise throughout the rest of the file. At 01:51 you hear the distorted error beep as i press the color button without anything but air and light in front of the color sensor. It must be pressed up against the thing you want the color of, or it gets in too much ambient light and errors out with a loud protesting beep.

My original dw toms, mixed with themselves 1 octave up [the octave up is lowered -6db and the envelope reshaped to allow loud only the attack]. Then for that resulting mixdow again the same thing [so i used the same method two times]. At all steps i was using the simple compressor[not multiband] for not allowing overlimiting. For the two general mixdowns [because it was a double process] i used hard compressor at -0. 45 dbs. And for the two octavic parallel channels i used hard compressor -3. 60 dbsbecause the octave doesn't sound realistic if not well compressed. For all my dw octavic tomsed i used the same exact method. My original dw toms are here if you want to read data or mics. These toms do not sound realistic as stand alone sounds. These harmonics work better only in a complete mixdown, and have increased audibility than the original recordings [for silent music parts use the original because low velocity of parallel instruments will expose the supportive tom-harmonics].

I was super inspired to post here again after an insane coincidence happened!. I was in an online class (thanks, covid) where we were supposed to redo all the sounds and music for an animation we chose. We were encouraged to use sound libraries and freesound. Org. In one classmate's animation, a sound he used seemed very familiar, and then it hit me. . It's my sound! from this site! the crazy part is he has my same first name. But anyway, thank you for taking a look and listen to this sound which is about 2 years old now, heh. I went to this exhibit about electronic and/or audio stuff. In the show they were doing on stage, they brought various tesla coils and things i forgot the name of. I decided to take a video. Within that video, is this sound! feel free to use this sound wherever, however, whenever you want. I ain't uploading on freesound for nothin'. ;d. The only processing i did was cutting out any talking during the raw recording.

88 piano keys, long natural reverb: up to 13 seconds per note. This is me giving back. I love freesound. You guys saved my bacon back in the day. Recently i searched for free piano notes for a game i'm making, but the only ones i could find ended too quickly. I need long reverb! luckily i have an old piano, so i made my own. So this is me giving back. This is an old piano!!!. We had the piano tuned a year ago, but it is well over 60 years old, so be warned! these notes have character! if you want perfect tone, either edit them individually, generate something artificially, or buy a professional set. But if you want a piano with personality, this is for you. Being an old piano, it only has 85 keys. So i created the highest 3 notes by speeding up previous notes, to make the modern standard 88 keys. How the notes were created. The notes are created on an old (well over 50 years) steinhoff upright piano. It only has 85 keys, so i faked the highest 3 keys by taking previous keys and changing their pitch. I opened the top, balanced my trusty everesta bm-800 condenser microphone across the top near the high note end, and held down the "loud" pedal. Each note was then hit and kept pressed down until i could no longer hear any reverb. Notes were saved as mp3 using my laptop, using free sound recorder on the highest quality settings. Yeah, i know it isn't flac, but i am strictly amateur with budget to match, and that was the best i could do. After that, all editing was of course uncomopressed until the final save. How the notes were edited. Editing was kept to a minimum, mainly to enhance the reverberation. All editing took place on audacity on linux mint. First i cropped any silence from the start. Next, used the envelope function to gradually increae volume to 200% over a couple of seconds. That is, the quietest part of the reverb is twice as loud as you might expect. Because for my game i sometimes need a single piano key to last ten seconds. Next i maximised the volume. If there was just a single stray waveform that stuck out then i reduced that by 2db or so then maximised again. Because like i said, i want to hear that reverb! i then found the part where background noise starts to be noticeable, and faded out over 1 second or so. This meant that the lowest notes had as much as 13 seconds of reverb, whereas the highest notes might only have 2 or so. Finally i checked the result, and edited three or four notes that i felt were just too ugly (badly tuned, or for some reason the software suddenly got hissy when the note became too quiet. Weird. ) i also slightly changed the pitch of a couple of notes that were slightly out of tune but otherwise ok. No doubt a better ear than mine could teak all of the notes. But as i said, it's an old piano and we're keeping it real. Finally, files were compressed to ogg at the highest quality setting, using soundkonverter. Why not flac?. I live in the countryside with very slow broadband, so i apologise for including more of the original files. But as it was, uploading this zip file took about an hour. Enjoy. Legal. Use this for anything you want, commercial or not, credit me or not. Consider it public domain. My main concern is that i had completely legal sound for my game, with nice long reverb and character. Uploading it here provides proof that i created it first, just in case anybody comes back and says "those are mine" (it happens).

This is a sci-fi ambient drone sound i made. It's creative commons cc0, so please treat it as public domain. You can use it in any commercial or non-commercial media for free, no restrictions. For those curious how i made this, i took a quick 8-second drum loop from my pocket operator po-33 (ko) and ran it through a free time-stretching/pitch-shifting program called akaizer. The program's based on old samplers like the akai s1000 that had extremely artifact-heavy time-stretching and pitch-shifting features. If you slow a sound down enough, the final product tends to sound harsh and electric. Akaizer turned my 8-second drum loop into 2 minutes and 38 seconds of harsh, bassy noise, pretty damn close to the final. Then i imported the file (we'll call it file a) into reaper, my daw. Track 1 has reaeq with a high-shelf acting like a low-pass. Its curve is set at 1386. 2 hz, gain at -inf, and bandwidth at 2. In retrospect, i have no idea why i didn't use a low-pass. Track 1 has a send to a blank track 2, which has a fab-filter pro-q 3 high-pass filter with a 12db slope. It's at 320. 57hz, q is 1. 096. After the eq, track 2 has valhalla shimmer set to the black hole preset with no changes. Track 3 is the default file a with valhalla shimmer on the black hole setting, but with two tweaks. Low-cut is at 30hz, high-cut is at 6630hz. Everything else is the same. That's followed by fab-filter pro-q 3 with these eq settings:-0. 72db at 69. 463hz, q at 1. 007. -1. 11db at 536. 64hz, q at 1. 013, dynamic eq (click "make dynamic" and leave everything as-is). The point of this dynamic eq is to give a slight drop in gain in the 500hz region, which tends to get muddy in larger mixes. I wasn't sure if i'd use this for a larger project, and i didn't want build-up in that region from the already large-sounding track 1 and 2. The ocassional eq drops here also adds a warble to the final mix that helps sell an analog, electrical sound. +0. 85db at 3697. 3hz, q at 1. 009. This is to add subtle airiness to the drone. It seems weird to have "airiness" in the 3-4k region, but it's the sort of rumbliness of the sound traveling away and dissipating in the atmosphere after the lowest drone sounds. My volume fader settings for all 3 tracks:. Track 1: -8. 59 dbtrack 2: -6. 46 dbtrack 3: -6. 43 db. On my master bus, i have izotope imager 9 with these settings:. Band 1: width at -100 (mono) for 59hz and below. Band 2: nothing at 60hz to 525hz (width at 0). Band 3: width at 48. 1 for 526 to 1. 4khz. Band 4: width at 49. 4 at 1. 4khz and above. Stereoize is set to 6. 4ms on mode i. And that's it! no compressors or limiters anywhere, since i liked how dynamic the actual tracks were and i figure you can always add your own compressor or limiter to the final if you want. I've also added the original po-33 drum loop on my page, as well as the loop after it was run through akaizer but before it hit reaper in case you want to do your own processing. Enjoy :).

What is music forge project?music forge project (mfp) is a library of plug-in presets and scores (no samples or copyrighted material). I myself have built this library (if someone wants to give presets for the library, it is much appreciated). The library uses a series of free vst (not included in the installation of the mfp).
