The door to the sensory room at the school. I opened it, closed it, and walked into the hall. Part of a collection of sounds i recorded at an elementary school after the students have finished the year--the building was largely empty and as i've worked here, i've noticed a range of interesting sounds that i thought would be useful for folks working with video games or audio dramas! no need to credit me, but would be interested to know what you use it for just out of my own curiosity.

While making an ambient track simulating a fortune teller's caravan, i designed 3 sounds in pro tools by layering and editing presets within ambience and soft pads. They add a bit of magical flare when the tarot card reader turns over a card. This sound can be used for any kind of transition, item acquisition, quest accomplished, or other quick sound effect which needs a light, magical quality. Feel free to use these sounds however you see fit. No need to credit me, but i'd love to hear how my sounds are useful to you in the comment section below.

This is a 5 second rendering of the famous 1000hz censoring tone used on tv, movies and broadcasts. It can be cut, looped and used to censor audio that may be sensitive in nature or otherwise not fit for broadcasting. Made the tone using an analog tone/pulse generator fed into a focusrite scarlet 2i4. The sound is very clean (no noise). As this "tone" is fairly easy to reproduce and there is no copyright on it, i'm not going to ask for attribution or anything. Just use it as you see fit whether it'd be commercial or private. I was looking for a smoke machine blast and a c02 gun blast for an after-movie sound design, but i couldn't find a proper sound on the internet, so with my sound design knowledge, i tried to replicate those noisemakers. A pair of owls stationed themselves outside my half-basement bedroom window in colorado early this morning around 12am. Unfortunately i only had my phone to capture them with, but it still turned out alright, save for the periodic vox-like breaks when silencing background noise. The hoot is obvious as to the source, but i'm unsure about the screech/cry that occurs with equal frequency. Is it the response of a mate? or just the yip of a curious neighbor dog?. Quiet urban residential area in tokyo at about 2 am in the late summer (october, i think). You can hear far off traffic, some night insects and a drunk guy who came to close to my hidden mics to take a whiz. Excluding the peeing guy, quiet parts are perfect for looping (for ambient background sounds in video or audio works). The peeing guy might actually be useful, so i didn't cut it out. Faithfully recorded with a stereo mic pair placed at a 90 degree angle. The left-right balance was adjusted and the stereo field was expanded later to fix the lopsided sided flatness of the original recording. Other than that, the recording is unprocessed.

Bird singing recorded at around 3:40 am with yinger bm 800 ldc-microphone in front of my open window, i had to add some noise reduction because of my computer fan with reafir (there isn't really much of that noise left, atleast if compared to original). You can also maybe hear ocassional space bar-click sound maybe twice, but it's still pretty useable clip in my opinion, i recorded this just to test my new microphone, and because i couldn't sleep because of the loud birds singing, and in revenge i recorded that with my shiny new yinger bm800.
