I think i used stereo mics that came with my h5. Recorded on top of a parking garage right next to the airport. This was created with reaktor 6, nested inside vcvrack (via the "host" module) run through various effects in vcv rack. Ultimately this was rendered out at 192khz (vcv allows for very high super sampling). Many frequencies that are above the range of hearing exist in this file due to rendering it at such a high sample rate. I recommend that, in your daw of choice: pitch this down a couple octaves while running this through a frequency analyzer. Watch how many notes and tones emerge into the range of hearing. You might need a high shelf eq on this as well as a slight high pass filter. Several use cases for this sound: in the background of a sci-fi video game. A tune i did on acoustic guitar to something called victors crypt. Did it on a four track recorder on my phone. I had the idea in my head that it would fit perfectly with strings. Just a quick recording before class today. Recorded from a tascam dr-07 mk ii stereo in mp3 192 kbps 48,000 hz, pointed a bit to the sky toward a florida mockingbird about 2 meters away. If you listen closely enough, there's some crows in the bg too. Ambiance sound is the sound of a busy divided highway about 500 meters away. I processed this sound in sony sound forge a bit to remove some of it. Just beware, the sound file contains a slight camera double beep at 9 and 15 seconds, although for student film purposes i don't see any penalty for it. The program told the story of the talented and adventurous women who served our country in a most unique and unprecedented manner. Author of the book Bands of Sisters: U.S. Women’s Military Bands During World War II, Dr. Jill Sullivan served as a guide through the personal accounts of those very women who blazed a trail for many to follow. The Marine Corps Women’s Reserve Band of Camp Lejeune was established under the watch of 'The President’s Own' to support bond drives and was active during World War II from 1943–45. In 1944, the ensemble even sat in for one of the Marine Band’s popular 'Dream Hour' broadcasts, a program that will be reenacted in its entirety as part of this concert. This sound was recorded via the use of a behringer b2 microphone, fostex fr2 and a home made parabolic reflector made from a tv satellite dish. The source of the sound was between 100m-200m away from the microphone. This has been eq'ed with high-end shelving to reduce gain noise, low-end shelved up to 1khz (to reduce wind and background noise) and the overall gain has been increased. Sound effect - bass rumble tension rise (wind river movie). I've looked for this particular bass tension builder sound effect from the movie wind river since it came out!! if you've seen that film and you're familiar with the "standoff" scene, then you'll probably know what sound effect im referring to. . . In the background of that most intense ever scene of all time is this bass rumble or tension builder that gives me goosebumps every time i watch it! i've wanted the original pretty bad because its the best suspense builder(bass rumble) sound ive ever heard! although it doesn't seem to exist online even for purchase. So i tried to recreate it myself! im a movie scene editor all the way, but im less than amature at audio editing, so please excuse the flaws. There are 3 versions in this mp3. All with different tones, speed, and other details trying to recreate as best i could.

When you walk around and listen carefully, you can hear music everywhere. When i got home i began chopping, an then i realized i could turn this mini recording session into some cool loops as well. I think its a good way of practicing sound design(or anything musically), to just limit your self some times. Basically got the idea when i was studying musique concréte. (concrete music). The first sunday of may is the international dawn chorus day! on the 3rd of may 2020, artists and field recordists in different parts of the world recorded the birdsong around the time of the local sunrise, and then the sounds were put together in a synchronous collage. I recorded this today (1/12/23) from atlanta, where we had a bunch of heavy rain and tornado warnings this afternoon. The radio station i recorded this from is am 750. The first part of the recording isn't very interesting, but the part where she started talking about how you can't see any tornados coming was really interesting to me. I think this would make for some really good ambience in like an environmental horror track. I decided to include the whole recording anyways in case anyone wanted it. Here's the backstory to this thingey if anyone really wants it:we were on tornado watch as i was speeding trying to get home from work, when the sirens started to go off. I had to pull into a disheveled looking parking garage, as that was the closest place i could get to. The garage only had one level, so i had no way of getting to lower ground. I sat there in my car, terrified that i might be stuck there, in a shitty parking deck, in the middle of a giant ass storm, with very little cell signal, for hours on end. I decided to turn on my radio and record it from my phone. Fortunately, i was only in there for 30 minutes, and i managed to get home after the rain cleared up a bit.

I won't claim that this is a ghost as i am sure many would debunk, only that i believe it to be. This is an evp i found during playback for something else i recorded in audacity with a usb condenser mic. This happens a lot and i have quite a few. It sounds to me like a voice that is not mine is saying "watch" i cleaned it up as much as i could but this was barely audible originally so i had to bring up the volume a lot which made the noise floor pretty loud. I did some noise reduction to make it sound cleaner. I have personally had experiences that i believe to be supernatural but decide for yourself as you listen or use it as make believe. I have more i will upload when i can including ones from places that have been researched and said to be haunted (taken on my phone). I have to find them but as i come across them or new ones i will share. No need to credit me, i am just sharing this for fun. I took the raw recording and used goldwave's mechanize effect to translate my voice to a center frequency of 14khz. Behringer umc202hd - overheads (dynamic mics)line 6 pod studio ux2 - kick and snare (condenser + dynamic)zoom h2 - room ambience (built-in xy condenser mics). This file is a 6-channel 24-bit flac file encoded using ffmpeg from the raw wav files exported from the original ardour session. There are several issues with this recording however:. 1. The tracks seem to drift, because the individual audio interface clocks were not in sync. The proper way to record multitrack audio is using a single multichannel audio interface - but i didn't have one. 2. There's either x-runs or some usb transfer issues creating small glitches and dropouts in various tracks her and there. Don't know why did this happen, as we've been tracking the real drummer's performance without these issues. Now - fixing these issues manually would be an insane amount of work, but i hope maybe someone has means to either solve them with programming a special tool, or know a tool that could fix these, and make this recorded session ready to be sliced as a drumkit for say - drumgizmo. There's some really good stuff in here - an i was able to cut and mix some really nice drum samples, that i've been using for years, but it's not ready to be fully sliced for maximum flixibility. The instrument was played by myself - it's a drumset by pearl (don't remember the details), owned by the drummer of a band i recorded this with. The band was called small hint - hence the drumkit name. We were recording an ep, and i used some free time left to capture this as well. The ep was never finished and we disbanded soon after. Regarding fixing the issues - here's what i think needs to be done:. 1. I think each hit would have to be automatically phase-aligned on all 6 channels, to correct for the drift. 2. I think it should be possible to automatically detect clicks by simply watching for a sudden change in amplitude between adjacent samples - marking bad areas and then using something like audacity's repair effect to interpolate the waveforms. I think the glitches have much steeper changes in amplitude than even the drum transients, so it should be possible to differentiate between those automatically. If you found a way to fix at least some of these problems - please let me know!. If you've made some "remixes" on freesound - i'd also love to know that. Apart from that - sample what you can out of this and make some sick drum tracks!.
