A recording that i did on a shoot for some ambient sound while in a small 10' motor boat. The motor runs for a little while but then turns off and the sound of the boat just floating in the water can be heard. The mic is moved around a bit to get a few samples of different perspectives.

Helm to generate square wave dissonance, comb filters to add stereo and more "structured noise" quality, and high pass filter to hide the lower overtones.

Sounds like the uplift to the drop of an edm track, but can also be used as a firework sound effect, or for a bomb dropping. Created using a low-passed square wave, over-compressing it, distorting it, playing 2 notes a semitone apart and pitch shifting.
