A large exercise ball being inflated using an accordion-style hand pump, which produces a whistling sound as air is forced into the nearly full rubber type ball. There is a reverb to the ringing of the air as it spreads in the ball.

On a music tour mostly travelling along the volga river and stopping at various places on the way. Captured on portable cassette recorder. Was never told what place this was, just that it was the "little town' and i suspect at this point we were on the oka river. Making whistling sounds with blades of grass. May 1992.

Hohner blues harp in c, played cross-harp (g major) for multiple “train whistle” sounds. First played high (d and f), then lower (b and d) , then a little faster. Recorded about 10 inches away with tascam dr-05. Multiple takes were trimmed and assembled in audacity.
This is a field recording of a fast approaching freight train coming and going with whitsle blaring. I continued to record the sound of the wheels rumbling on tracks - fades at end. I needed a background sound for a play i was involved in to suggest a busy train station in the 1930's. There are various steam sounds, door clucks, whistles and a lot of reverberation sound effect applied.
