Pedal-based noise created from an internal feedback loop. Wah, distortion, flanger, sirkut gnarler, and other pedals. Near the middle the flanger (dod fx75b) and gnarler in combination made a really weird noise like a fast, looped recording of a zummarah or some other wind instrument. . .

A sound that resembles a magical whistle could be described as a high-pitched, ethereal tone with a delicate and enchanting quality. It might have a mystical quality, as if it were summoning a spell or invoking a mystical creature. The sound may be soft and subtle, yet still manage to capture one's attention, drawing the listener closer in a hypnotic trance. Its otherworldly nature might conjure images of fantasy and wonder, and its timbre could be compared to that of a wind instrument, such as a flute or a panpipe. Overall, a sound that evokes a magical whistle would be both enchanting and mystical, capturing the imagination and inspiring wonder.

The range of a Jew's harp as string harmonics:“By using the cavity of the mouth as a resonator, each harmonic in succession can be isolated and reinforced, giving the instrument the compass shown. The lower harmonics of the series cannot be obtained, owing to the limited capacity of the resonating cavity. The black notes on the stave show the scale which may be produced by using two harps, one tuned a fourth above the other.” This file plays harmonics 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, and 12.

I sampled the bell tree at our church. After seeing how much the instrument costs at the music store, i opted to not buy one. The long version of this moves from left to right, and has the single sample repeat twice. So it begins on the left, has a delayed start in the center, then finally a third repeat starts on the right. Add liberal amounts of reverb, to taste. If you use this in a film, or game, or in music, could you please let me know in the comments? i don't mind sharing stuff for free, but the compensation i get is learning about people using and appreciating the sounds. Thanks!!.

From nasa - "this recording was made by the supercam instrument on nasa’s perseverance mars rover on feb. 19, 2021, just about 18 hours after landing on the mission’s first sol or martian day. The rover’s mast, holding the microphone, was still stowed on perseverance’s deck, and so the sound is muffled, a little like the sound one hears listening to a seashell or having a hand cupped over the ear. Just a little wind can be heard. ".

A flötenuhr (also orgeluhr) is a precious mechanical clock, with a small organ is combined. Given time to hear music from a pen-driven roller. Flötenuhrbaues the heyday was the late 18th out century. Flute clocks were built for affluent, culturally sophisticated circles, educated people with appropriate art and music understanding. The finest pieces built in vienna and berlin. Easier flute watches were up to about 1850 in large quantities in the black produced. They played for entertainment in guest houses. Several well-known composers wrote works specially for this instrument, as george frideric handel, carl philipp emanuel bach, haydn, antonio salieri, wolfgang amadeus mozart or ludwig van beethoven. Flute watches with great restrictions than their recorded music era to consider it forced the composer to be exact instructions in execution ornamentation and tempo. The coupling of wind plant and roll can be traced back to minimum tempos and makes historical flute clocks so interesting for issues of historical performance practice. Recorded at "deutsches musikautomaten museum bruchsal"recording: tascam hd-p2 and beyerdynamic mce82;soundsystem: pro tools le.

These short files are random selections from a 9min composite audio file i put together from an accidental recording made when i left my sony camcorder on in my studio. They are part of the same series posted elsewhere on thefreesoundproject site titled "accidental recordist". There is some hiss/background noise which is part of the street front urban scene of my studio. There are two chimes - one low pitch constructed of four aluminium tubes and wooden clapper (gift) and the high pitch one of small stainless steel discs (purchased in maui from craft shop). I did some basic cleanup of low level background noise and applied plus one level of loudness using adobe soundbooth cs3 to get some clarity.

Melodic snippets from recordings of me playing the swar sangam. This wonderful instrument is a combination of the swarmandal and the tampura. 15 harp strings and 4 drone/bass strings. In these recordings i am only using the swarmandal (harp) part. It is tuned to c sharp, but i have dropped the fourth note (f sharp) out of the scale. There are four packs with lots of recordings in them, strums, plucks, short improvisations. "short melodic statements" are 1-2 bars. "riffs" are 2-4 bars. "melodies" are about 30 seconds and "runs and flutters" speaks for itself. There is recording of tuning up the swarmandal in the melodies pack. The snippets were taken from recordings done on three different days so you may notice a slight difference in volume and background noise. A couple of the recordings have some ambient noise (bird tweets, wind chimes,)some of the melodies are based around a similar theme but have enough variation to be interesting/useful. Credit is not required but always appreciated. Linking to the sound allows others to find this amazing website. :-)i love to hear what you have used my sounds for!.
