This is a sound i created specifically for a video a made a while back. It is heavily distorted, meant to sound like punches/blows to something or someone - sort of ip-man style. The original recording was done by repeatedly tapping a table with my fingers, so if you want to create something similar but without the distortion, think in that direction.

In the middle of the recording the monks practice their ceremony with drums and without drums only repeating something that sounds like a mantra. Everything was recorded by 4 microphones and directly mixed down to stereo for recording. This is ariane testing the microphones with her insane scream. I think this sounds a bit like a jazz age theme reflecting a journey by steam ship. It was bolted together from little loopable sections (also uploaded separately here) which were all created using edirol orchestral samples and the magic of arpeggiating programs. Iphone recording of a group of people sitting in a theatre in downtown boston, ma, prior to a film screening. The room was perfectly tempered and acoustically treated, and people were talking at a relatively normal level without echo or reverberation. It was too good to pass up recording it. At first, there are people talking near by, but towards the end, i am further back and the group chatter effect can be noticed in whole.

I made this instrumental music in two versions, with and without drums. This is without drums. I did it in garageband for a thing called victors crypt. I made a bass-line on a doublebass that i played around with. Like the fact that it's groovy and a bit dark. Strings are always cool so added that and more. Sounds like space ambience/a sci-fi space station. Did this today while messing around in audacity. This sound was created by blowing into a microphone while slowly changing pitches.
