You can hear nightingales, warblers and thrushes all around. This was recorded using my crappy, old mp3 player in the countryside of henfield, near brighton, england, on the 31st of may 2010. I often play it & other recordings i made around there for my birds in the evening, as a kind of nature lullaby. ^-^.

Mixed scots pine & larch plantation with beech trees adjacent to trackway. Dry with light breeze. The murmur of the wind in the pines runs through out this recording - ebbing and flowing with the breeze. There is much woodland birdsong. Some other noises of human making can also be hear and interrupt the otherwise peaceful rural ambience. I have been hearing an animal or two beneath my bathtub for some time now. Today i discovered who it was. Leaving my apartment building this afternoon, i saw a cat sized racoon carrying her baby under the walkway. I went back inside and set up a microphone aimed at the floor by my bathtub. Methodology: shure sm58 into focusrite and recorded via ableton. Noise removed in audacity. I have a horrendous ground loop situation. In the future i may try to mic from below the apartment so that it isn't so muffled by the floor. Some noise comes from how much i had to amplify the signal to make it heard.

Outside during late winter, heard beautiful birds chirping happily. Did my best to get a quintessential bird sound that could be used along side other ambiences or for transition or establishing shots.
