This track was developed in 2018 via apple's logic pro x on a macbook pro 2017. The home studio employed the usage of the presonus eris e4. 5 near field monitors in east harlem new york city. The project used sample files already included in apple's logic pro x. The mixing process employed only logic pro x plugins (e. G. Compression, equalization). You may find the developer at twitter: @harlemdaw.

I recorded this in my living room with mics in an x-pattern on the couch very close together, using a tascam dr-70d and behringer dyynamic microphones with patch cables for optimal volume. I recorded this at maximum gain on the tascam as two stereo files, then conjoined them to a 6-channel audio file properly and mixed the front two channels to a monaural center channel for added effect. The final result is what can be downloaded here. Tghe music in the background is part of the star trek: generations expanded complete score, and is coming from my computer to the rear of the recording, which lasts just over a minute in length, and the music was just background noise for testing purposes only. No copyright infringement was intended. Credit for the music goes to the now late jerry goldsmith and also dennis mccarthy, who is still alive. I hope you like this audio demonstration, and find it useful when considering rigs like the holophone, or comparible 5. 1 surround sound microphones / rigs. I take no credit for this recording, as it was done for demonstration purposes only. Have fun!.

Quiet time of day, recorder placed in cardboard box in a cupboard and covered with clothing. As in title and file info, low cut 40hz, 16 bit, 44. 1 khz. I didn't see any point in going below a 70% gain level as it's not too bad at those levels.

Chinese restaurant (portugal) about 10 x 10 mts large with 20 people inside. Sunday 9pm. Chatter (portuguese + other), chairs dragging, some noise from the street behind the big glass window in front; noise from the kitchen (cutting vegetables on wood, frying on wok, chatter in chinese). Mic pointing at the center of the room. In front a big avenue (door closed). On my right/behind is the kitchen on an open space. Recorded with zoom h4n-pro 48 khz / 24 bit. Use freely on your personal commercial and non-commercial projects. Don't put this raw sounds/files on youtube or anywhere else. You can use them in creative way as a part of art-form, but not "re-distribute" as (royalty free) stock material. Thank you.

This is the stereo file of the 4-ch thunder-file--> https://freesound. Org/s/367222/. The thunder is slow downed to 0,7speed and has now very deep frequencies, which can shake your house, if you have the right equipment to play the file. ;-)the 4 channels are recorded in irt-cross technique so it is a 360° record. Ch1(left) = fl+rlch2(right) = fr+rr. _________________________________________________________________used recording gear:zoom f84 x rode nt1 (without "a" = the black ones).

A tawny owl is shouting several times and a church bell of a church, in 200 meter distance, is ringing two times. The reverb is natural, it is no added soundeffect!. The spatial impression is best if headphones are used. Ch1 = flch2 = frch3 = rlch4 = rr. The download-file is a polywav. If you need to split the file (e. G. To make a stereo file), you can use the easy to use"wave agent beta"(free)from sound devices for example. ;-)https://www. Sounddevices. Another recording of rain and thunder, but in some ways a better one. This one is a surprisingly big crack and rumble preceded and followed by a nice sounding rain. I made this by positioning a stereo-matched pair of akg c451b condenser mics in an exaggerated x-y configuration (a wider stereo field) and aiming them out of my open window. The mics went into a universal audio 2-610 preamp, an apogee duet 2, and then ableton at 48khz and 24 bits. I believe i had the mics set flat, and there was no post processing (though i was mightily tempted to upload the much-better-sounding eqed and compressed files) so that you can fine tune it to suit your needs. You'll notice that the loudest parts of the thunder boom clipped the input, but, due to the pleasant and forgiving nature of vacuum tubes, the clipping sounds more compressed than distorted. Feel free to use this sound in any commercial or artistic work! you do not need to credit me.

A rickenbacker 4003 playing a melodic lick. I played the bass connected directly to a motu 828mkii. I recorded using logic running under os x 10. 10 yosemite on a mac mini. I used fission to trim the beginning and ending and perform normalization. Note: this is a replacement for sound #328627 which i had mistakenly uploaded as a stereo file.

Recorded in the night, you will hear a calm situation of falling raindrops without noise of civilisation. The church bell is 200 meter away. The raindrops are falling on the ground of a little deciduous forest and the whole situation is very spatial. The spatial impression is best if headphones are used. Ch1 = flch2 = frch3 = rlch4 = rr. Overflight of 2 fighter jets (eurofighter). In quadro (in 5. 1-terms: l-r-sl-sr) you will hear them coming from front-left flying "above the head" to rear-right(roughly spoken). The 4 channels are recorded in irt-cross technique (microphone distance 25cm) so it is a 360° record. Http://irt-cross. Mozello.
