After reaching 10,000ft, the in-flight instructions come over the intercom, spoken by an on-board flight-attendant. The flight is a commercial airliner in route to chicago-midland airport from denver.

This sound is of a commercial airliner passing overhead. It was recorded using my zoom h4n stereo field recorder, as i faced east, looking over sun devil stadium in tempe, arizona on top of what they call "a mountain". It was captured around 3:30 in the afternoon, in the spring of 2014, with the airplane due east towards phoenix sky harbor airport, descending on approach.

There are various sound sources, and beats occur as the magneto-striction is phased by arrival time at the mic. This recording is from further away than the first one. Tornado siren in streamwood, il recorded during the monthly test. This version is heavily edited, with some filtering and compression applied, as most of the recording was distorted (i was too close to the siren!), although it should be useable with appropriate filtering to suit your purpose. The actual siren is located a short way north west of the geotag (it should be visible using google's satellite view). Recorded using a rode ntg2 into a zoom h4.
