This is a recording of applause at the end of the concert in a large auditorium. The conductor and performers walk off and on stage for multiple bows throughout. This is recorded with a small field recorder from a seat in the audience. The file politely clips in parts as people near me clapped, but it's not noticeable. The cough in the beginning is easily cut out, the file loops really well, so you can just delete that section, and it will sound continuous.

An atmospheric and mostly mellow walking recording in lower east side, nyc. There are many metal access doors to the streetside businesses that are built into the sidewalk and that is the banging that you hear as people walk over them. Clips also has a few snips in it.

Another recording of rain and thunder, but in some ways a better one. This one is a surprisingly big crack and rumble preceded and followed by a nice sounding rain. I made this by positioning a stereo-matched pair of akg c451b condenser mics in an exaggerated x-y configuration (a wider stereo field) and aiming them out of my open window. The mics went into a universal audio 2-610 preamp, an apogee duet 2, and then ableton at 48khz and 24 bits. I believe i had the mics set flat, and there was no post processing (though i was mightily tempted to upload the much-better-sounding eqed and compressed files) so that you can fine tune it to suit your needs. You'll notice that the loudest parts of the thunder boom clipped the input, but, due to the pleasant and forgiving nature of vacuum tubes, the clipping sounds more compressed than distorted. Feel free to use this sound in any commercial or artistic work! you do not need to credit me.

So these are all real reactions to certain things i do, i. E, video games, narrations, etc. Funny story. . . The reason this one is from far away is because while recording a narration, a lovely spider decided to descend from the ceiling, and i flipped out, having decently bad arachnophobia. It also got near my hamster's cage, so naturally i bellowed "die!" when killing it. I'm uh. . . Very passionate about certain things. I myself need genuinely real vocal reactions. I often look for voice clips here on freesound, and there's just some stuff that isn't here. I know i'm not the only one, either, so i post mine as well so others may use them. Disapproved of my voice clips, so i just wanted to say that if you wanna use them, do, if not, don't, that's why they are there. I was showing my 1 year old my recording studio. He was laughing and talking so i recorded him to play it back. His reaction was as wonderful as i could have hoped. This was recorded in my home studio, on a cad e100s microphone. Recorded in audacity, i copied the clip, lowered the pitch, stretched, added reverb, and reversed the audio. Continuous movement of train through sheltered station after it initially slowed down and sped up after the locomotive was clear of the building. Some clipping of audio at midpoint.

Here's another crowd sound effect i did. Although it's quite a fake laughter, i tried to make it sound realistic as possible. I almost actually lost my voice since i kinda did them a bit too forcibly. Since i had to rest, i added another laughing clip instead of doing more laughters. All voices by me and it was edited and overlapped in audacity.
