I needed the sound effect for a car arriving. These were recorded in my driveway. 2011 honda element, waliking to car, starting it, backing down driveway, driving back up driveway, stopping car and walking away. Recorded using the internal mics of a zoom h2n. Recorded was on a tripod about three feet from car. These sounds were originally used in a performance of vanya, and masha, and sonia and spike.

Heard a barred owl calling in my backyard. Grabbed my zoom h4n with audio-technica at897 shotgun mic and started recording. Did some minor equalization to soften the higher frequencies and roll off the low end. Crickets are chirping in the background, a few other insects make some sounds. Soft droning of a couple planes flying by and vehicles from a highway about a mile away, but do not overpower the barred owl.

I was creating a kick drum sound using a model d synthesizer to see if i could and i realized the upper register had some very interesting percussive blips. I recorded starting with c or c# below middle c and upward for usable sounds and thought they might be interesting and useful for someone else as well. Please do what you want, slice and dice, these are original sounds by me from the model d and i give them freely for whatever use.

This is a basic dubstep beat. It was done in reason 7. It is useful in that it shows you a good way to construct a beat. It consists of four 4-bar measures, each progressing from the previous. In this way, you can see how to write a good beat, by starting off simple and building from there. Traditional dubstep drums are very spare and sporadic with the use of symbols. I never liked drum beats until i heard dubstep !.

Composed in musescore, synths added with lmms, additional sound done with audactiy. Starts out with bass drums, progresses to synths held on one note, then snares. Double bass creates rising tension. For bone-clicking sound effects, i just shook a handful of pencils. Cymbals at the end for final climax of the sound. Sound design originally for use by twoallnighters comic dub studio on youtube. Released to general public with permission of its creator.

Stereo recording of about 5 lads skateboarding in a small square (custard factory, birmingham uk). Sound of wheels rumbling and nice meaty thwacks as the lads jump then land. They went around the square and some movement across the stereo image is audible. There is traffic noise from a nearby main road. Some comments and talking between the lads is audible but not clearly articulated. Recorded on a zoom h2 with the built in front microphones (90 degree nominal separation). Recorded as wav, loaded into audacity for removal of handling noise at start and end only.

A short alarm followed by a beep, which sounds like a missile locking system being used. To create this effect i sped up and changed the pitch of an alarm clock, and followed it by a beep from a tone generator, which created my desired effect. The alarm tone comes from the sound from this url: (http://www. Freesound. Org/people/playpauseandrewind/sounds/120526/#comments).

I made this as a near ultrasonic sms signal. Created and edited with audacity, filtered with glame bandpass filter. If you hardly cut a pure tone, you introduce a whole lot of other frequencies to the signal at the cutting point. To avoid this after the cutting you need to filter the whole thing with a bandpass filter to ensure you have as little other frequency content as possible. It will audibly soften the start and the end of the sound. That's what i did here.

This was hella tough to make! and i used this program that turns picture into sound. It has paint tools, and you start with a black canvas, you draw up a pattern on it, and depending on the color, position, size, quality, format and translucency of the marks and lines you placed, you get sounds. But it is really hard to get a hang of! this took me 3 days to get it right! please comment and rate, i worked really hard on this! by the way, i'll be making more of these, so if you like it, then i have three more.

A drain after a water flow: the water seems to build up a physical-mechanic surface tension kept mass in the tube, opens and closes this bubble-entity producing a specific rhythm in the plughole resp. The drainage pipe. It pulses with various plops and splashs, starts off with a firework kind of beat but then one hears a differentiated rhythm of 4-strokes sequences with slugs before these etc. Getting slower. Many minutes later it ends (beyond this track). The (hearable) cut is just the censorship of a small abortive piece -- left in to document the recording as recording.

I used cheap mallet sticks made of rubber to play on a ride cymbal. Not really a good tremolo or whatever you call it, but it has its moments!recorded with a tascam dr 100. China’s first official anthem was used in the last months of the Qing dynasty. The anthem was by Bo Tong, a high-ranking officer of the Imperial Guard and Yan Fu, commander of the Qing Navy. Guo Cengxin, Master of Ceremonies, made some minor adjustments and arranged the music. The primary purpose of the anthem was to advocate the Qing Dynasty and create a sense of well-being among the Chinese. The anthem was officially adopted on October 4, 1911, but was used for centuries beforehand in official Qing dynasty functions, going back to when Emperor Kang Xi was crowned in 1675. It’s official use as China’s royal anthem was short-lived, as the Wuchang Uprising, meant to end China’s imperial era, started six days after the anthem was officially adopted. The Republic of China was created on January 1, 1912 and the emperor abdicated on February 12. As such, the anthem did not gain much notoriety in China. “Gong Jin’ou” was made the anthem again in 1917 for 12 days when a former Qing general started a coup and reinstated the Qing Dynasty. Since this was used as a praise to the emperor, this is also a royal anthem. This song was banned in Communist China after 1949, but the ban is now lifted (probably after 1978).

This is the sound of seagulls, ducks and other water birds competing with gigantic carp fish, and each other, for food on lake mead. It starts mellow and and grows into a full-blown frenzy with lots of calling, quacking, chirping, splashing, thrashing and slurping (from the fish). The hoover dam isn't far from this lake, so tourist helicopters occasionally pass by. I hope you all like it. :).

While recording narration on my blue yeti microphone, the cable came loose in just such a way that it started glitching and converted everything i said into weird techno music. In the radio drama big data, it was used to represent the end of the internet. You are free to use it in any way you like, but it would be super funny if you credit it to "broke yeti" as though that is a real band and help me confuse people.

The year of the roster began on january 28, 2017. The night before, january 27, as traditions dictate chinese family gather to have a great dinner and get lose with baijiu -chinese white liquor-. After dinner, a little tipsy, chinese went to the street and start firing all kind of pyrotechnic. Amazing spectacle -even been disastrous for the air you breathe for the next few days-. I recorded this firecracker with a zoom ii from the balcony of my 19th-floor apartment in beijing.

A soundscape conveys our interpretation of the origin of universe. It mixes scientific, vedic hinduism and creative approaches. Starting from the very beginning (big bang and “om” sound), passing through the universe expansion and focusing mostly on earth evolution, including molten rock and floods eras, as well as sounds from living creatures. We used a combinations of sounds from our custom pure data patches, vst synthesizers and a few samples from freesound. You can find the attribution below.

Another night of hearing that couple next door. You can hear some of the conversations they have, but not really clear in some parts. Note that some parts of their conversations are cut out, but the dirty sounding conversation they have will be kept in. Around 2:50, is the sound of a door shut, that's when they're about to. . . Around 6:20 is when there will be bits of sex noises. Passed 8:25 is when you'll hear the woman start to get loud. Passed 11:00 is when they finished their you know. The sound of water free falling off the edge of a flat roof. I opened the apartment balcony door and started recording. The fourth floor apartment is on the corner. The water was draining off the flat roof over the edge and falling directly from the roof to the ground. The recording equipment is a studio quality apex 460 multi pattern tube condensor microphone. It was located to avoid getting wet (!) and was about 90 degrees and six feet away from the sound source, just set in a few feet from the open balcony door.

Wild parrots started flying in and landing on the trees along mission bay in san diego on a cool, cloudy day. I walk around and catch some individuals and groups. Sometimes they fly overhead. I did my best to minimize footstep sounds and wind noise. Mostly, i did a good job of that. No. 2 at about 2:35 there's a nice group after a long silence, so don't quit beforehand. Here it is mixed with a sound clip from syna-max called war with other sounds as well to create the finished effect for the part of the play where the painting explodes. I also have just the crowd noise on here. After that the police jumed through the wall and started shooting people and i played a sound by matt_g called m240.

Did this thrilling groovy piece of music in garageband for a thing called victors crypt. It starts off with a kind of wicked hard disco-beat. A four on the floor stomping groove. Then a bass line comes in and develops, getting more groovy, more tones. A midpart/breakdown before it goes up into a hard groovy four on the floor disco-beat again. The difference between the mild version and the spicy version is that there is more stuff coming in on the spicy version. Starts off the same but in the midpart there is more going on with guitars, piano, synths and stuff. And afterwards there's a bit of "jammy" section leading to the end. The mild version is more basic, no messing around kind of. Think it would work great to a game, youtube-channel, episode, movie or whatever you feel like. Could be perfect in a thrilling suspence part where someon's beeing chased or are in a hurry for instance. . . Feel free to use it as you like as long as you subscribe to and watch my channel :).
