This recording is of wave ripples hitting the sand on lake superior. This was recorded with a zoom hrn pro handy recorder. It was edited in cubase le 10 focusing on compression and normalization. The mic used was the built-in mic configuration on the unit positioned on a mini tripod 8 inches above the sand.

I created this torture sound for a short film i made. I used a verse 504 labtech mic with a sony mini disc recorder in my garage. I smashed a cantaloupe with a hammer adjusting mic placement until i had the desired volume and sound.

Using a finger and a small blackroll tube, i recorded a few plopps with a rode nt-usb mini and the rode podcast recording software. Noise gate and compression were turned on at the time of recordings. For me, it sounds a little bit like a cork popping from a bottle, but it has a richer sound, somewhat overdoing it. . . Good for sfx though.

Normalized to 0dbfs with spot noise removal on birds during the drive-by in rx5, tail left unprocessed. No other processing of any kind. This sound effect acts as a demonstration of this stereo pair mic combination right out of the box.

Just a looping beat patter made in fl studio 11 while playing with elektrostudio model mini. Pattern includes intro and outro + it has a multiple variations within, suitable for cutting, and editing into a beat. *it is not a full beat, rather several ideas played freely. Good source for a begginer who is learning about making a beats.

This is a sound of a mercedes benz 709d mini bus driving on a really hard icy road. It was a rattly old bus, everything squeaked and rumbled on it. I videoed this journey with my canon powershot a460 digital camera, i simply took the sound from the video. It's a good sound, it turned out well thanks to the winter weather, and the rough icy road. Ambience recorded at a wine tasting evening, around 15 people to begin with, increasing to about 20 in total towards the end. Recorded using a single akg c451, run through an sqn 4s mini, into a tascam dr680d. Sorry it's not nice and stereo, but it was just recorded after an interview to give us something to work with in post. Might be panned hard left, too. A recording of my mini-fridge that i split into two components - the hum (this) and the evaporator thing that makes all the drippy sounds. I separated them so people can change the volume of each element, since i noticed with my fridge that you can only really hear the hum if you're really close, but hear the drippy sounds from quite a distance away, even if they're really quiet. Recorded with a zoom h4n pro, used rx7 to separate the elements. As always, i've got the un-modified loop in my "raw recordings" pack.

I grabbed a metal mallet (mini sledgehammer) and dropped in on cement in various ways. Lightly and a bit harder. Recorded into my ntg3 in a garage sectioned off. Underhood recording of my renault 19 with oldish carburetted cleon engine (c2j). Double barrel webber 32 drt carb ~72ps engine. Start engine, tire skid, hard acceleration up to 6000 rpm and coast down to idle, several times. Throttle blips up to 7000 rpm. Mic: sony ecm-ds30p stereorecorder: sony mz-n707 mini disc, sp mode, agc: off. Wanted to test this cheap mic and custom made windscreen - this is my first car recording, and that's why i started with this cheap microphone, don't want to learn on expensive stuff. Still, i'm amazed how the recording turned out, it's $24 mic in not very silent area, yet it captured sound rather nicely. Windscreen (cost $0) turned out to be not that good :).

Bartolome calatayud was born in 1882 on the island of mallorca, received in 1899 the diploma of honor 1st class granted by the workers instructive center palma for his "superior musical knowledge in guitar playing". Although less famous in the classical guitar world, bartolome calatayud has left much enjoyable and exciting music written for classical guitarists of all abilities. He taught many pupils in majorca during his final years. He died in 1973 at the age of 91.

This time i promised my self to make my cuts more musical, you guys know, good outside (or) inside recording can be esthetic in many ways. When you walk around and listen carefully, you can hear music everywhere. When i got home i began chopping, an then i realized i could turn this mini recording session into some cool loops as well. I think its a good way of practicing sound design(or anything musically), to just limit your self some times. Basically got the idea when i was studying musique concréte. (concrete music). Could upload the samples if some one is interested?. I used no effects at all, no panning (stereo recordings) or no limiters/compressors. Some of the recording where made by using binaural microphones. I recorded everything with my zoom h4.

I made this recording of ambient backgroud noise directly beneath the eiffel tower. The shape of the eiffel tower creates a unique acoustic environment in the vicinity of the tower, especially beneath it. You can hear a much higher level of background noise than you would hear in an open area, and the noise is unusual. The tower is made of thin pieces of iron arranged into a complex and very large lattice, which reflects and slices and dices sound in a unique way. Thus you have a high level of very even and unidentifiable background noise as noises from the ground and the platform get bounced around and distorted by the structure of the tower. This recording was made from the ground, with microphones pointed straight upwards about 2 meters off the ground. Noises from the ground travel upwards and bounce around the inside of the tower, then drift back down. There are noises in the tower itself as well, such as elevator motors and people on the platforms. The first platform, at 57 meters, is open in the center, whereas the second platform, at 116 meters, is completely closed and flat on the bottom. Wind moving through the tower also makes noise, and again the open structure of the tower changes the noise in a way that is specific to the eiffel tower. There wasn't much wind at ground level for this recording, but i don't know what the wind speed was at higher levels in the tower. Some voices in multiple languages are audible in the recording, as the area beneath the tower is awash in tourists. Recorded hand-held with a zoom h4n and a mini windjammer, using built-in mics, in stereo 96 khz / 24 bits, then converted to mp3 at 320 kbps because of the size of the file. Duration is about two minutes.

My first upload! this sound i made using the zmors synth on my ipad air2 - i used audiobus which is a great routing software allowing many of a lot of awesome sounding synths that are now on ipad and can be played professionally via a usb keyboard controller (very handy for gigging) okay this is getting too wordy. . . I used audiobus overall with zmors in the first slot being routed through the wonderful aufx eq app in the center (effects) slot then ran the most useful of all ---> audioshare app in the 3rd or output slot to record it all. . . Keep in mind that the number of devices you can run in these three slots is virtually limitless - as much as your device can handle so you can get really nuts with several synths, a drum machine, etc all routing to the middle (fx) stop in the chain and picking up a fat 3 or 4 nice sounding effects devices then on to output to audioshare or you can now use just audioshare as host and run zmors in it directly (and probably more smoothly). I chose zmors because on a couple of other ipads (ipad mini, ipad 2 especially, and ipad air a little bit) i was noticing that it was a resource hog and was not playing correctly or there was a huge lag in the latency so with the new(er) ipad air 2 i wanted to hear the zmors synth and it really is an underappreciated majestic sounding beast if you ask me. I am going to experiment further with it as the unique architecture and just the way it sounds is totally different from any other synth i've yet to hear on ipad or in general. It kind of reminds me of a fatter, more modern. Sequential circuits 6 track. Which i've had a couple of and have a thick layered sound - kind of like a really nice turkey sandwich with a good portion of swiss cheese then you notice that there's still some roast beef left and put a good amount of that between bread as well.
