I placed my recorder on my window sill as this thunderstorm was raging outside. The sounds of torrential rain, thunder, and a dog barking in a distance. If you used this sound and would like to credit me, i would be honored, if not, that is fine as well. Hope this helps in anyway.

Stuck my condenser mic out my window during a rain storm and recorded for a few minutes. Recorded at 48khz with a rode nt1-1. High passed around 150hz and compressed a little to bring up the volume.

A sudden spring rain storm recorded indoor in a courtyard, so it contains some natural reverb. It also contains a heavy thunder in the middle. Please, excuse the quality, it was suddenly recorded with a mobile just when it happened.

I opened my door - with tiny bells attached to it - to listen to the storm and moved around the recording device a bit, resulting in a wee bit of whirling psychedelic effects.

The sea was fairly choppy/rough and this is a recording of the waves crashing against a break water/wall with some occasional spraying sounds. Theres a great stereo effect of the waves hitting from left to right. Could be a good sound for any on boat/stormy sea needs.

Mono recording with rode nt1000. It's done indoors, by the window, with the window open, pointing outside. In the first plane you'll have birds (portugal), then mild rain and some far away thunder. Some thunders are closer, pretty clear and loud. Be ware for some of my movement sounds, you may need to edit.

I recorded this rainstorm with thunder in june 2021 in grimbergen belgium. The rain fell straight down with little or no wind, accompanied by subtle rumbling in the clouds with the occasional louder thunder discharge. Hope you like it. Use it freely.

This sounds as if it were staged by hollywood, but it actually did happen, i swear! birds chirp away to set the scene, but a beefy thunder roll intrudes. Soon after, raindrops begin to fall as if on cue. Theres a little handling noise click in the begining that is easy to crop out if you like. The recording is unedited. At 1:35 i move the mics closer to the deck so you can hear the splashing. At about at 3:10 i you’ll hear a different timbre as i move away from the rain and under an awning. About 3:45 the rain settles down and the birds start chirping again. Hopefully there are some useful segments in here. Recorded with a dead cat on a tascam dr-05 at 48khz 24 bit, then compressed with “lame --preset insane --scale 10” to make up for the low gain i used (i was afraid a thunderclap would engage the limiter). Distant thunderstorm sounds recorded by my sony stereo dictaphone on 11st september 2014 from pécel, hungary. Storms were over budapest, but thunder is heard in pécel too.

Caught a heavy downpour while at home and figured i'd capture it for posterity. The recording features rumbling thunder, an ambulance in the distance and a piston airplane flying over. The storm gradually drops in intensity.
