Rolling up a very old rolling curtain. Honestly, at some parts it sounds like a bird taking off.

I was recording wind that blows in my window, but the zoom h2 placed on a (cheap) mic stand after some time started to bend itself downwards. It hit the curtain/drape in my window and rubbed itself against it until reached the lowest position - the mic stands arm stopped gently as it started. This produced a very interesting sound that i totally didn't expect to find on the recording. Edited with audacity.

A self generated cue for a musical. I ha imagined a kite in flight, subsequently caught and destroyed by a nearby tree. I used a stock wood crack, and source files from robinhood76 and aust_paul, plus effects. Completed in pro tools 10.

Recording #1 of my own shirt flapped, snapped, whipped, waved etc. If you pitch-shift this down (or slow it down) it can sound (imo) indistinguishable from, say, a large flag or large sail being pulled and snapped in the wind. This had recording noise removed, and silences auto-trimmed, with auto-regions from that trimming generated and saved in the file (handy for selecting a sound region easily or exporting regions as a lot of separate sounds). I request but do not demand attribution to me for use of this sound.

Ironing clothes with a steam iron.

Ripping a rag made out of an old t-shirt, recorded with a samson co1u condenser, unfortunately in an echoey room.

I have no idea what this is, it just turned up on a recording. Still sounds like it would make a pretty nice critter effect for some monster.
