An improvised stoner riff played on an archtop guitar passed through pharaoh fuzz then through an orange amplifier with overdrive enabled. After that the signal goes directly into the computer. Recorded using an alesis io/2 interface with input set to "line" and gain to the minimum.

This is the sync pulse generated by the monotron that is used to sync it's clock to other monotrons. If you send this to your monotron via computer software sequencer (daw), you can sync the monotron to your host sequencer (i've been doing this with ableton live). It works great.

This is a sound recorded with a handcrafted electromagnetic microphone. The machine recorded is used for computation tasks at cbc (upf) for their experiments on brain cognition. As researchers of the center for brain and cognition, we work to advance our understanding of how experience influences the emergence of structure and function through computational and experimental investigation. We are also interested in understanding how mechanisms regulating brain development interact with the effects of experience to produce the structural and functional characteristics of the brain. These lines of research clarify how specific biological mechanisms routinely support the emergence of cognitive functions, leading to insights into why experience is so important for normal brain development. Unzipping and zipping a medium sized soft laptop case. First take is unzipping, second take is zipping. Recorded in studio. The wav file is a dual mono file. Left channel is close perspective, recorded with an akg c2000b. Right channel is a bit more distant perspective, recorded, not sure, with a rode ntg1. Both on fostex fr2-le.

The beep tones my old pager makes when it is turned on. There are a couple 'boot up' beeps followed by the 'low battery' warning beeps. I needed some of this sound to use in a theatrical production [ a new brain ]. I recorded it on my laptop computer using a cheep condenser mic and audacity.

Raw sampled ieframe. Exe on a hungarian windows 7 64-bit computer using audacity. The reason why it's only 11khz in frequency range is becaue 44 100 hz makes the sample too high pitched.

An abstract sound created with bosca ceoil and audacity. The sound has been pitched shifted repeatedly. It is noise, but hopefully you'll find it to be a pleasant sort of noise. If memory serves, some forms of (non-audio) computer data can produce sounds like this if imported into an audio processor.

This sound is made from ground up intirely on the computer. It was meant to sound like something is breaking down. Actually it's made up of two sounds mixed together. The one is a chip (snack) that is being crushed and the other is a drawer being smacked hardly. The entirety is then downpitched. Made with adobe audition and a regular cheap microphone.

Designed with malstroem and basic 64. Malstroem. Graintable synthesis with "random" lfos and a freeware synth called basic 64, that is often used for the reproduction of c64 sounds. But here, the patch sounds like tools. It's a different synthesis, similar to the subtractive synthesis, but not as easy to handle as e. G. A minimoog synth or a prophet 5.

Glitchy robot scream, made for a game with robot enemies. I made it by using audacity's "import raw data" function to import random program files which creates all kinds of crazy noises. (all the sounds in this pack came from the files of an emulated ps2 game. ) i then put a vocoder on the sounds i found to make them sound even more robotic.

I foudd this frequency, between 4450 and 4475 khz whilst going through channels on radiosdr. Org. It sounds a bit like a printer and then lower down sounds like a laser. Sorry for the sound of me pressing the keyboard, my laptop has an internal microphone so this was picked up.

Inserting, reading, launching a program, and ejecting a dvd-r in a usb disc drive (repackaged "hp dvdram gu90n" laptop drive) with the occasional rumble of a 2tb 7200rpm internal hard drive (in an enclosure) and mouse clicks. Computer fan may be audible in background. Contains seek noises. Recorded on blue yeti in omnidirectional mode and denoised in rx 8 (drive whine re-enhanced though as noise removal made it quieter). Labels added to audio in fl studio edison.
