Guitar string with effects, high pitched almost like under water. Recorded with my guitar's pedalboard and edited with audacity.

This is a nice clean recording of hard-rubber soled shoes running and walking up and down metal stairs in a concrete stairwell. It's reverberant, but clean. I hope it's useful to somebody. While attribution isn't necessary, i'd love to hear what you've used it in. Also, for anybody who's interested, it was actually recorded in the parking garage of universal studios in hollywood, ca. Recorded while walking on a vietnamese village road past a lamp post with a loudspeaker attached on it. Metallic, echoing sound of the radio with speech in vietnamese language. A motorbike is passing by, a dog barks a few times, sound of wood being chopped, sound of tropical birds. Slight sound of footsteps.

Very moody and trippy with some light distortion but heavy on the phaser and delay. Could call it outer space/science fiction type of noise.

Sorta spooky and creepy, almost as if something is following you or hiding from you. Low gain but tones of echo and delay.

Quick flourishes of synth keys going up and down the pentatonic scale. Synth used was the korg ms 20 mini, analogue and monophonic. Subtle filtering and echo was placed on the recordings, as well as some reversing.

I cut out some parts of the "badoink audacity base loop" (id:540779) and did my best to make a simple song using only audacity. It wasn't easy lol, i used several effects from audacity itself: reverb, echo, pluck, distortion, equalization, amplify, change speed, change pitch and tone generator. The end result is not a masterpiece, but it was nice to participate in this challenge, thanks badoink.

I love the crackle as the shot breaks the sound barrier. Could be slowed down to make it sound like a larger weapon, or maybe even used as an impulse response. Explosion sound created using a zoom h1 and tempering with metal fibers near the mic capsules. Added verb and pop compression for better flexibility. Recorded with canon hv10 camcorder. No soundeffects added. Nice echo in the open fortress yard. First some speech, then single drummer and single trumpet.

Recorded under a long, dark, low bridge on my local canal. Me laughing. Slowed by 5% in audacity. The result? -a chilling, maniacal, evil laugh. Recorded late at night in fog - so it felt scary even to us. Recorded using a sennheiser mke300 'shotgun' mic. Cropped in audacity; and saved as aif file. It was saved. . . But nothing can save you! "muh, muh, muh ha ha haaaaa!".

A neighbor of mine might have just peed in his pants if he couldn't shoot off his illegal commercial fireworks before the fourth. So, july first, his manly outpouring of window-rattling bomb blasts echoed across an entire valley. For nearly two hours. I like fireworks. When i go to see 'em. Not so much when i can't get away from them. Sure, i could have gone shopping, or out for a drink. I recorded it instead. This particular explosion is just the largest of those that came after i started recording. It's just a lowly iphone but it does pretty well. Admittedly, even with no amplification it might have been too much for the microphone. You have the clear launch sound followed by burst and echo. The same blast kicks off the other fireworks file i am uploading.
