I created this sound by editing a clip of my voice. I think it could be used as either a "powering off", or a"elevator going down" sound. This sound, like everything i upload here,is completely free for anyone to use. I hope it is useful. 🎶.

Street celebration for the boca juniors fans' national day (first celebration in december 12, 2012), in the center of mendoza, argentina. Explosions, football's chants, etc. Recorded in mono with a samsung galaxy 5 (gt-i5500) cell phone in flac with "tape recorder" app. Festejo callejero por en día nacional del hincha de boca juniors (primera celebración 12-12-2012), en el centro de mendoza, argentina. Electro-magnetic interference from the colorino talking color identifier and light probe when held near the internal ferrite antenna on the back right of a 13-year-old boombox near the bottom of the am broadcast band, from 530 to 580 khz. You first hear the device inactive being brought near the radio. This gives a low buzz of stacato clicks. At about 00:23 the light probe button is briefly pushed, you hear a quick boop of the light probe with low light level combined with the beginning of the white noise of the device active. If you put your ear near it after you use it, you will hear a slight hiss from the audio amplifier carrier idling for about a minute after last use. On the am radio this translates to white noise. At 00:26 there is a double click and a distorted voice says black. The voice is being picked up by the am radio. 10 seconds of white noise and i press the color button again and it says black. I put something else over the color sensor and it says a few more things. At 00:51 i hold down the light probe button and try to point it at the light above my desk while still holding it close enough to the radio to pick up the emi signal. You hear a warbling tone at 00:59 as the light reaching the sensor increases and decreases in brightness depending on how it's pointed. The signal fades in and out as the device is moved around. This has all happened at 530 khz. At 01:37 i step the radio up to 580 khz where you get a stronger signal. Wibw from topeka competes with the noise throughout the rest of the file. At 01:51 you hear the distorted error beep as i press the color button without anything but air and light in front of the color sensor. It must be pressed up against the thing you want the color of, or it gets in too much ambient light and errors out with a loud protesting beep.

A walking recording, starts off with a very noisy garbage truck, then all sorts of other street sounds in east village, nyc. Ends with me entering my apartment building through a double door. Explicit content starts at around -2:00 where a guy wants the *whole* world to hear his drama and he uses some explicit language while i'm waiting to cross the avenue to my building. File also edited a little bit for time.

Walking through a demonstration for democracy in tel aviv, israel during protest against government judicial overhaul on march 2023. Thousands of people in the streets singing, chanting, playing drums, screaming "democracy" (around minute 1:16). Recorded with iphone 11 internal mics.

This is a sound of a pepsi bottle being opened. I guess the strange skin-twisting sounds was the skin on the hands that where holding the bottle and the bottle-cap while twisting. This made for an amazing futuristic machinery sound.

4ch surround recording made at a bus stop in greenwich/england at noontime on a weekday. The recorder's rear mics, featured in this file, are facing away from the street into the sidewalk at a right angle at a height of approx. 60 cm. Traffic is passing in both directions, about 1 min. Into the recording, a bus stops and continues onward. Recording was conducted with a zoom h2. These are the rear channels of a 4ch surround recording, mics set to 120° dispersion.

An ambient, white noise wall of sound recorded as i walked through our well ventilated university print shop. You can hear a variety of machine noises that layer to create a constant hum, with a swelling rise and fall like occasional waves. Some of the vents whistle, some tick or click and purr. Near the very end, there is a single sharp click. The ventilation system is an anti-fume tube series used for printmaking. Recorded on a microtrack ii. General information: recorded indoors on handheld microtrack while walking from room to room. No noticeable footstep sounds. No voices. Room has high ceilings and cement floors.

This sound was the result of a scary accident. I was looking at the view in the webcam of an open doorway leading into a dark hallway in my house, when suddenly this haunting feedback faded in and looped repeatedly, until i pulled the volume down. It was unexpected, and quite unnerving. I had to laugh about it once i realized what had happened. But that first moment had me expecting some ghostly apparition to come in from the darkness. Anyhow, it's just an accidental feedback loop. I've had it in my archives for about 20 years now. I thought it might be useful to someone else. Enjoy!.

Various kitchen noises. I recorded this while making foley for a film recently. It's intentionally roomy and captured from medium distance which was the position of the listener. There's no significant background roomtone (no traffic, fridge hum or voices), just the exagerated cutlery movements, glasses and cups clingings, water sink, cabinets, fridge door and stuff.
