Trying to start a tractor that has a dead battery. Just makes some clicking sounds. You can also hear the springs creaking under the seat. Recorded on cheap hand-held cassette recorder w/ built in mic.
This is the sound of a kubota three-cylinder diesel. Between 57 seconds and 1:15 it was being driven. The low speed was 600 rpm and it only goes to 2500, a surprise to me. They made me drive it in "turtle. " i was not trusted with "bunny. ".

Pride of the north country. Man vs weight, clean air vs black smoke, hearing vs permanent tinnitus. Whatever is used to describe that god forsaken noise, it's hardcore (country style).
H2n zoom placed underneath a feeding place for small birds as they go back and forth between the feeder and trees close by. Towards the end a tractor drives in the distance and a cat walks by making the birds fly away at once.

Beeps from distant machinery such as a roller as well as closer passes by a dumptruck and two spreaders pulled by john deere tractors. Morning background sound of birds as well.
