Recording of myself walking through olvera street over in los angeles, unfortunately arrived when everything was about to close down so it's not as busy, but something to note, i wasn't still, i walked through the street so music and people talking are passing by quicker in the recording and the occasional footstep from myself can be heard. All surface to air fireworks are illegal but, due to covid-19 cabin fever, people just didn't care this year. This recording is almost 99% voice free. There was a couple on a balcony that are barely heard muttering something in just a minute or two of this recording. For the most part, it's clean. I kept the peaks very low to maintain a natural sound. All of my sounds recordings are provided free of all charges. I was staying in west hollywood for about a week-and-a-half, and the parade was right outside of my airbnb! recorded using a field recording app on my galaxy s5 phone in my shirt pocket. Hark! The Herald Angels Sing is an English Christmas carol which first appears in its modern form in 1850. George Whitefield altered the opening lyrics to the more familiar "Hark! The Herald Angels Sing", and various others also made small alterations in the following years. In the early 1840s, Felix Mendelssohn wrote "Festgesang", a cantata in celebration of the presumed 400 year anniversary of Johannes Gutenberg's invention of the printing press. The tune to the second part of this piece, "Vaterland, in deinen Gauen", was adapted to fit the revised Wesley lyrics in 1855 by William H. Cummings, assembling the hymn tune into its more-or-less final form.
