Murmuration in ireland, on the electricity lines behind my house. Must have been at least one thousand starlings. In this you'll hear them tweeting etc and a whole bunch of them flying. An up-close recording of a single cricket chirping. I recorded this with a shure beta 57a microphone, at my house, with the mic a few inches away from one of my housemate's crickets (don't ask). I used cubase and izotope denoise to remove noise artifacts, as well as a low-cut to remove unwanted low freqs. Recorded in mono but exported in stereo, so both the left and right audio channels are the same.

What effects the color of the wave here on freesound? i could ask, but here is a little test. Part 1 - a (about) 60hz tone going from sinus to triangle (vcv-rack vco-2)part 2 - same tone. Sinus wave. An accelerating vibrato. Part 3 - now 2 tones. Same 60hz sinus tone plus another sinus tone slowly increasing in frequency creating beating effects. The second, rising, vco has a lower amplitude. All three part has the same peak amplitude (-4db)#colortest.

A slow, fingerpicked chord progression on a 6-string guitar. I recorded this using my zoom h4n recorder and some external, stereo microphones. The microphones were the samson c0-2 and i had them mounted on two separatemicrophone stands: 1 was pointed at my left hand on the fret board to hopefully get the finger-squeaks, and the other microphone was pointed right above the sound-hole about 3 inches above the opening. Dont ask why this is named like that lol, made using a lot of layers but the fundamental of the snare is synthesized, distorted the first miliseconds of the sample to make an snappy transient and make it cut throught the mix. For the process i used analog modelled plugins such as exciters, tube saturators, preamps, coloring eqs, and compressors alongside with some digital modelled plugins such as camelcrusher, transient shaper and sliceeq both by kilohearts, the compressor mjucjr ny klanghelm to amplify the waveform of the sample and finally a clipshifter plugin, which i love it, to limit the snare aggresively.

Sometimes, my imagination goes here, and further. I never offer explanations for the bits and bites i ask from him, and clearly, he doesn't check it out later. So i put this together out of thin air. This is a 5 second rendering of the famous 1000hz censoring tone used on tv, movies and broadcasts. This is almost the same kick drum i´ve uploaded previously, but this has more compression and overtones in the sub bass, along with an interesting technique i´ve been doing, lemme explain. . . I put the original sample twice in my daw (fl studio if you ask),leave the first sound like it is and the second sample is being equalized in a way that only the sub bass is being showed, so i added to that the saturation plugin ivgi2 from klangheim industries and slammed it with the plugin ott by xfer records about 9 times. Equalized the sound again to cut the sub bass and leave the raw high end sound you hear, finally added an izotope ozone imager to make it wider.
