We spent the afternoon at the ruins of the abandoned radarstation on the top of teufelsberg in berlin. Standing in line at the checkout, neighborhood supermarket, chicago, 7/17/16 at 6:25pm. Occasional voices, clatter of shopping carts and baskets being stacked, sounds of groceries being loaded onto the conveyor, beeping of registers. Recorded with two countryman emw lavaliers in a head-mounted binaural arrangement, into a tascam dr-40 recorder. Processed to remove excessive bass rumble and compensate for eq curve of lavaliers.

Let me set the scene for this audio because i am a nerd. . . Burbank, california. A large apartment/condominium complex with an open courtyard and a swimming pool and hot tub. Now, for some reason in la, nobody ever seems to actually use pools or hot tubs anymore so it's not hard to get clean audio. So, from beginning to end you will basically hear me turn the automatic shutoff dial on the wall, walk to the hot tub, get in the hot tub, and sit in various positions for extended periods of time. I was alone for the entire experience (wife was at work) and nobody joined. It's very clean audio and safe for all production. Recorded on 11/20/2018 in burbank, ca. Enjoy,. Christopher c. Courter.

I made this binaural recording while standing on a suburban street in the middle of a thunderstorm (in my socks) carrying an umbrella. During this recording at a small pond with frogs a dog comes closer and barks. The frogs in the pond start to warn each others. They are getting crazy for a short time, then they calm down again.
