I used my hands to make this sound effect. The action was similar to a dog shaking out, except the character was parasitical worm covered in mushrooms. . . It made for a nice little placeholder effect. Do with it, what you like. Hopefully it helps, when you need the sound of a person brushing a spider from their sweater.

Short brushes with my hand on small rocks. Recording in the city is hard but i found a small canyon made of rocks in a park which helped block out traffic noise.
