The welsh city of swansea on a summer evening. In the centre of the shopping area, hard concrete surfaces all around. Someone is bouncing a ball and walking towards the mic, seagulls calling, and there is light traffic in the background.

If other people can record and post toilet sounds and farts, i guess a stomach growl isn't so bad. Accidentally recorded while doing something totally illicit, thought maybe someone wanted it. If it was my stomach it would be called "tummy growl. ".

You found a mysterious phone on the attic of your grand-father, you dont know how it is work so you clic on different numbers. Nothing is happening for a moment but after 10 sec this sound is comming out the phone. . . Maybe someone is calling you back.

Part 2 of 3, swooshes. While on skype, someone i was calling left the mic on while he packed for a trip. A transmission error caused a unique distortion effect while he was moving gear and typing. These are the swooshes, normally made from dragging objects or sustained rustling. . . I think.

While attempting to create a sick ass dubstep wob noise in rob papen's albino synth plugin, i managed to stumble across a telephone-like sound while pitching the filter cutoff on a weird shaped wave oscillator. I then put down the dubstep tune, and exported the noise with a gradual huge reverb at the end just for fun. I hope you enjoy it and i'd love to hear if someone uses it and in what context!. A conversation that happened in the kitchen. Warm for the time of year, a man steps in to play basketball on a corner paved lot. Just one basket and no refs, the two free-throws he is offered are almost unheard-of. Maybe some of them didn't like his looks. Likely too they know what he does for a living. Likeliest of all he was playing well, but for sure the woody that won't quit had come to call, and they probably liked that least of all. So he steps up to the foul line and the first shot zips the net. So does the second one, but even before it gets there, someone jumps in behind him, grabs hard and and zips his pants all the way down. They aren't around his ankles, though. Close one, he's standing on them. Worse, a local crowd has gathered. Only the stunned aren't laughing or pointing or cheering. You put your pants back on and go home, what else can you do? game over.

But instead of going straight to the fat bass / big drums-part i made a quiet little intro before it kicks off. I made the drums with both sampled drums and a drum-machine to make it big. And i use 3 different basses. For a little extra spice i put some strings and stuff on it. Would fit anything big, dramatic and scary!!!. This is a failed attempt at sampling a rock drumkit on 6 tracks. The channels are as follows:. 0: oh l1: oh r2: kick3: snare4: room l5: room r. I've captured this into ardour 5. 12 using 3 different audio interfaces:. Behringer umc202hd - overheads (dynamic mics)line 6 pod studio ux2 - kick and snare (condenser + dynamic)zoom h2 - room ambience (built-in xy condenser mics). This file is a 6-channel 24-bit flac file encoded using ffmpeg from the raw wav files exported from the original ardour session. There are several issues with this recording however:. 1. The tracks seem to drift, because the individual audio interface clocks were not in sync. The proper way to record multitrack audio is using a single multichannel audio interface - but i didn't have one. 2. There's either x-runs or some usb transfer issues creating small glitches and dropouts in various tracks her and there. Don't know why did this happen, as we've been tracking the real drummer's performance without these issues. Now - fixing these issues manually would be an insane amount of work, but i hope maybe someone has means to either solve them with programming a special tool, or know a tool that could fix these, and make this recorded session ready to be sliced as a drumkit for say - drumgizmo. There's some really good stuff in here - an i was able to cut and mix some really nice drum samples, that i've been using for years, but it's not ready to be fully sliced for maximum flixibility. The instrument was played by myself - it's a drumset by pearl (don't remember the details), owned by the drummer of a band i recorded this with. The band was called small hint - hence the drumkit name. We were recording an ep, and i used some free time left to capture this as well. The ep was never finished and we disbanded soon after. Regarding fixing the issues - here's what i think needs to be done:. 1. I think each hit would have to be automatically phase-aligned on all 6 channels, to correct for the drift. 2. I think it should be possible to automatically detect clicks by simply watching for a sudden change in amplitude between adjacent samples - marking bad areas and then using something like audacity's repair effect to interpolate the waveforms. I think the glitches have much steeper changes in amplitude than even the drum transients, so it should be possible to differentiate between those automatically. If you found a way to fix at least some of these problems - please let me know!. If you've made some "remixes" on freesound - i'd also love to know that. Apart from that - sample what you can out of this and make some sick drum tracks!.
