This is a field-recording of besançon, saint claude's district, in france. You can hear the church ringing the sunday morning's bell. Taken out of my window with a shure ksm27 on a sound boom + art tube mp project series usb. This is my first contribution in the freesound project, to thanks everyone here for sharing amazing sounds. Hope you like mine.

You can hear people in the park next to york minster chatting, walking, laughing and there's distant city noises. Then, around halfway through the recording the bells start to ring out for midday. Recoding from my sony camcorder while holidaying in italy. The 7am and 7pm bells from the campanile (bell tower) in the medieval hilltop village of sorana, tuscany. Note at beginning the muffled sound of bells from nearby village and the odd ever present birds. I left these sounds in as they give a sense of place to the bells.

Zulu voices recorded in a hall from about 20m. Mainly old folk with some kids. Voices raised, energy high. Indistinct dialogue. Recorded with zoom h4.

Recorded with a zoom h2n in december 2018, standing to the side of the cathedral away from the train station (to minimise background and people noise!).
