It's an all synthetized sound, created on audacity. I wanted to recreat a basic emergency alarm, which can be use for cops, firemen or ambulance. I started by creat a track, then i add chirps. After, i duplicated the track and make a stereo of both. After, i copy and stick multiples times my sound. After, i chossed to raise the speed of the track, twice. I also modified a little bit the height. These are series of various flash bulb pop sounds designed by me for the war-themed short film project. I've decided to create those myself from scratch, because i could not find any proper recordings of those rare vintage flash bulb which were closed lamps that contained a magnesium filament along with oxygen gas that would be ignited and create a significant pop followed by short crackle. Examples and also a reference for these i took from the opening scene of "watchmen" (film, 2009) directed by zack snyder. Materials from soundly pro library.

An m4 carbine being fired in short bursts, great for supressive fire. Created in audacity by taking a. 223 gunshot (recorded on a private firing range), adding more bass and amplifying the sound, and then adding shells dropping by adding in the sound of rattling silverware, and finally adding a bit of echo to finish it off. Features that heavy bass thump of a powerful assault rifle with shells ejecting and falling to the ground. I couldn't find any other sound quite like this so i created one. Enjoy!.

Full siren test (with a couple of gaps) including the announcement for each siren and two separate sirens. There's a perfect delay as the sound bounces around the city creating an almost digital sounding delay effect for the announcement and reverb for the sirens.

To create this sound i stabbed an apple with a pair of scissors in my bedroom to replicate the sound of someone being stabbed. To record i used my sontronics stc-10 microphone and my audiobox interface running pro tools from my mac at 48khz, 16 bit.

Marble falling on a tile: in this sound a marble falls to the ground creating a very high pitch sound when the marble hits the ground multiple times in short succession. Recorded using the zoomh4n and the rode ntg1 condenser shotgun microphone. No processing was done to this sound. The tile is a common bathroom tile.

This a sound effect i created in acid pro for a play. It is intended to represent a conflagration with an explosive start, a fire alarm and then the approach of fire engines. The play was set in the eighties. It is made from a combination of sounds drawn from field recordings, freesound effects and purchased sound effects.

This is from a library of sounds i call "pet sounds", after the plastic material pet that's mainly used for water bottles. This library contains various sounds/loops created by using waste plastic in an attempt to give this noxious material at least some useful purpose by acoustically "upcycling" it.

This kind of noise randomly generates the values -1 or +1 at a given rate per second. This number is the frequency. In this example the frequency is 100 hz. The algorithm for this noise was created two years ago by myself in c++, as an imitation of noise generators in supercollider 2.

A drone sound i created using a dsi mopho, recorded in logic. I didn't use any fx. It's a filter sweep with some resonance and lfo 1 is modulating pan position.

Moth-organ is a forgotten instrument. Sad, because it's amasingly useful, and a professional (which i am not)can create many interesting variations. I play only three tones, but listen, it's a cool little thing. I used the best available: hohner 'rheingold'.
