Christmas day 2007 in ramsgate harbour. The weather was cold and misty with a bit of wind. The result is an eerie sound as the wind rattles the rigging of the yachts, enhanced by a couple of birds flying across the harbour making mournful squawks.

[game_over_01_remastered. Wav]. Game over. This was my first sound ever here. . . This sound was originally created for our game that we made during our university game jam back in the days. . . I had the pleasure to work with the kindest, most efficient, passionate, awesome, upbeat folks at campus; a group of 5 members altogether. The game was called "bombers please". At the end of the day, it was dark outside, the whole university-building was empty, dark and had some spooky corridors/halls, and we were still there. Just before we were about to leave the building, we took the audio room and recorded my voice instantly so we could use this sound the next day for the game (the university game jam lasted for 1,5 days). In the garden of an old house in dreux, france, on a warm july day. Some footsteps in the dry grass, then still. Birdsong, a little bit of wind at the start, a buzzing insect. Recorded on a stereo zoom h2, slightly filtered to take the edge off the wind sounds.

A field recording of a car passing by on a non-windy day, i think it might've been a honda accord, the sedan version which generally has a relatively subdued engine sound when passing by. I use this personally for scenes in the city.

I like to listen to static (often actually) and it actually shifts a lot through out the day. So i heard some cool ringy stuff. . & decided to sweep through the am band. . . And actually touching the screen of my cell made the static louder. Sounds like a synth.
