Unfortunately this dog isn't with us anymore so i've tried again to clean up this bit of her out on the porch at night. It was recorded with an old blackberry playbook, which also isn't with us anymore. I think this version might be more useful.
I needed a sound fx of a dog scratching itself for a 3d animation, so i did this foley recording. First i tapped a bunch of keys to simulate the tags jingling. I recorded my small house dog being scared. She's always scared for whatever reason and decides to whine. It is a very interesting sound because it almost like she's growling. There was a dry thunderstorm 10 km far away from the dictaphone this dawn (27th of may 2014). You can hear crickets and dogs barking in the distance as well. Recorded in nighttime by sony stereo dictaphone.

It's a recording of a medium-sized dog's yelping. The dog also repeatedly sneezes from 1:15 on. The dog was longing for it's master, i did not do any harm to it otherwise than mercifully recording funny (in my opinion) sounds it made instead of saying words of support. I don't feel guilty. Tonight, about 0:30 gmt+2 while recording in the middle of the woods (only 2 houses around) 2 dogs were harassing some cat. The cat is alive and safe right now (9 hours since recording have passed). Recorder: h1n + windshield.
On a music tour mostly travelling along the volga river and stopping at various places on the way. Captured on portable cassette recorder. Was never told what place this was, just that it was the "little town' and i suspect at this point we were on the oka river. May 1992.
This is a mix of many different sounds. A dog keeps on barking, birds sing. There's a plane that passes by. At one moment a truck also passes by. There's even squirrels and at the end a faint murmur of people talking as they walk on the sidewalk. Recorded with a zoom h4n.
As i heared our doog eating the crunchy vegetables, i quick got my zoom h4n to record it. The maybe some noise of a fly or traffic in the background, but the internal mics were very close to the food-bowl. I had some issue when i came very close as the dog tried to eat as fast as possible, so i prefered to lay the recorder on the ground and kept away with my arm so the eating could be more relaxed. But the dog gobbled anyway in a fast way. Enjoy the soundscape. Maybe use it for asmr ;-).
