This is a recording done on top of castle hill of the ambience in cambridge. This was done for a radiophonic project for univeristy where my group created a soundwalk through cambridge up to castle hill. On this lo-fi recording, corn grains are sitting in a frying pan and begin to pop as the oil is hissing. It provides an interesting and regular popping sound suitable for mid-range frequencies. The recording is done with a tie-microphone, and extra treatment is done on audacity to reduce noise and isolate the sound.
