This is not a complete composition. This is a loop i created for people who play d&d or any rpg or game thats similar. It will loop perfectly. It is not diverse enough in composition to be considered a finished track, nor is it dynamic enough to be a finished song, it is a 3 min 30 seconds loop with the midi used on 2 different synths so it doesn't get more boring than it already is. This is not a complete composition. It's a loop. Meant to be looped. I used 2 sounds, the tiger roar and thunder from two other users. They described it is okay to do so in their description. An interesting recording of birds, led by blue jays, doing their alarm calls. I was in the middle of the woods when i noticed that the birds seemed to be alarmed like there was a predator nearby and sure enough, i finally spotted a big barred owl sitting high in a tree about 50 yards from my recorder. Pretty amazing how the bird community sounds the alarm.

Sounds of trains passing above an art atelier in brussels, belgium; the room is right below the railway, so you can hear trains making different kinds of rumbles and noises from the other side of the ceiling. It was recorded with a tascam hd-p2 recorder and a sennheiser mkh50 directional microphone. I selected only the train-passing moments, there is a metal door shaking on the background and maybe some traffic, but i think it's cool enough. (:.

Foley audio of passing cars on a country lane. Cars passed behind the direction the camera was facing. There's a mild stabilisation noise you may hear which could detriment your audio if not removed. Other than this, the sound is eloquent enough. Oin camera mic has been used from a canon 7d with no wind filter. Recorded in burnley, lancashire.

A diesel train flushing out the condensation from a particular valve, as i am told. Sounds like electricity sparking or something. It was quite loud, my gain was set extremely low, enough that i didn't pick up any of the road traffic with cars passing a few feet behind me. I have a knack for the reprehensible as some may have gathered. It comes naturally. So every once in a while my partner sings about it. Line samples from a casio ap-45 on the default grand piano patch. Samples every c and g from c2 through to c9 with a short sustain. Velocity is pretty aggressive and it doesn't sound quite in tune to my ear. Feels like it's a little bit out. You may want to tune these yourself, if you plan to use them for anything significant. Minimal post processing on these. Just enough to get them roughly even in terms of overall volume.

Oddly enough this man does not consider himself a baritone, and his speaking voice is not so deep. This was not modified except with noise reduction, because the air conditioning was audible. Got a can of sriracha peas for my birthday. Accidentally plucked the pull-tab. Sounded good. Made everyone pause what was on tv so i could pluck it a bunch. Ate about 3-4 peas. I don't like sriracha. Much less on dry peas. My stomach got upset. Those few peas colored my burps for about an hour. The can lid was the real present all along. Incidentally captured: chair squeaks (funnily in time with the plucking), "hurry up", "(he's) documenting the sound", chuckling, "is that good enough?".

This recording was taken around 10. 30pm near a village called dewe in uganda. Dewe is a village in uganda about 100 yards from the shores of lake victoria. I was fortunate enough to spend a month staying with a project called the dewe school of art based in the village. I took this recording while i was alone in the project gardens at night. I recorded this sound with the microphone from the logitech quickcam for notebooks pro. I know, the webcam is really old but i happened to find it from my brothers room and used it for a microphone replacement. You may say it distorts a lot, but that's just because the original setting of level is 50+ db. Now onto the topic. I spinned the usb cord around the end, and tried to do it fast enough to create this sound. This is a modified sound from its original. Spectral editing in audacity has been done.

This is an aif (garage band) file of just good ol' tape hiss recorded from a jvc tape machine (cassette). It's just tape hiss. You can change the freq to help blend it in your recordings. I have the volume on this at a higher level. When i blend this with my digital recordings i turn it down just enough to hear it without it being too analog sounding. Hope you can use it. It's great for soft passes and solo instruments, much like white noise of a studio perhaps.

This is another spoopy long background music type thing i've thrown together with pitch shift and time stretch and echo. This one is a bit long to sit through and feels to me like it often needs more space in it, but i have no idea what i'm doing so i'm stuck with what i've got. For background creepy mood stuff there are definitely some good 30ish second stretches in there that are different enough from each other to suit somebody somewhere though, i'm sure.

This very happy bird-song was recorded in late winter/very early spring of 2012. It was a cold, partly sunny morning after a cold night, yet this red male cardinal was singing proud and loud. Recorded in a small town, with some traffic sounds in the back. Also, if you listen close enough you will hear some starlings in the background with their waking up chorus. Recorded using the handy/zoom h4n recorder and a samson c0-2 microphone mounted inside my home-built parabolic reflector.

Thought this would make the perfect, very unique style to use drums as filler background music during a very important statement or speech. This track is a little over two minutes long and has just enough soft beats to not distract the listener to what is being said. This was recorded using a yamaha keyboards guitarpop style drum rhythm, audacity & a little improvisation. I must admit. . . I like what i hear and i think - so will you!. No acknowledgement to me is necessary but maybe a shout-out to yamaha would seem in order.

The single module has 3 outs. 2 of them are controlling vcaa and one is connected to an envelope follower that generates a trigger when the cv is high enough. The signals in to the vca are the same (1. 5v). A way to illustrate the work of the module. Maybe.

Got a group of about 8 people to say "hey!" a few times. Layered all the takes, compressed, and added a touch of reverb. I've used this one a bunch in my own songs. Sometimes, to achieve a convincing gang vocal effect, when i don't have a gang, you can sing your line a few times, and then layer this "hey" under each syllable, and you can get a pseudo-gang vocal. Works in a pinch if your mix is dense enough. I'd love if you'd credit joshua scott or rjc studios if you use this sample, but don't sweat it if you don't. Good artists borrow, great artists steal.

Soothing lake waves rolling onto beach with a bird call 3/4 through the clip. Not sure of the bird but it was grey and the size of a grey jay/whiskey jack/camp robber but a different spices as it had a black and white saddle on its back and a different head than a grey jay. I was not fast enough to get a photo of the bird. The sound was captured by a rode videomic on a cannon vixia hg20. I broke the sound out with corel videostudio pro 8 and saved the file. This is a sample from the plug on the bottom of a shaving cream can getting pulled out and the resulting release of air pressure and shaving cream. If you're good enough at editing, you can make this into an explosion, a weapon, a hydraulic release, or some sort of gloopy lava bubbling sound, or anything else you can create with this. A technical problem i had with my technics stereo cassette desk rs-5 where playback would deliver this fading squarewave at maximum volume. Apparently, it could have been an issue with the tape header wearing out. Thought i might as well upload it here, as i'm not sure anyone will be able to create this sound again. Note, this sound was de-amplifiied by 10 db in audacity 3. 1. 3. Simply put, the raw file was incredibly loud. If you're curious enough, you can increase it back up to its original volume, though i wouldn't advise it.

This is a short wavefile of really bad drums and a crying baby. To be used properly, it needs to be turned way up. This sound has a story behind it - i made this up for one purpose, and one purpose only - to temporarily blast my long-term loud neighbors into realizing that 'they' are now the victims. They "were" relentless at playing loud music continuously, and it was a hot humid day,no air-con, and i had a lot of wine. That's all it took - so i blasted them(at an amazing close range)with 200+ watts of drums'n'babies, just long enough for them to figure out that this just might continue, and that it isn't a nice sound. Bottom line - the technique was highly effective.
