The final sound gives an impression that we are hearing the hands of a clock. .

I recorded one hour of machine composition. I did not listen to it. I did not open the file in audacity. I told my fb fiends to give me a number between 0 and 57. I got 42 (what else). This sound is minute 42 to 45 from my one hour recording. The rest is deleted. Gone.

And gives rise to this audio.

The source of the sound originates in an apartment. I recorded the creaking noise of the front door with a zoom h4n. I didn't change effect as i wanted it to be used naturally as background noise and give special atmosphere, like in alfred hitchcock movies. I remarked this was a very clear, resourceful sound when going out from home: i heard it and suddenly thought that would be a good sound for the freesounders's community.

This is my second "stonerscape" that i've uploaded, the first being "creep jam". This atmosphere gives off a dark and brooding feel, my interpretation of what one may experience in a deep, suspended animation state. Get yourself properly prepared (if legal in your area), use good quality headphones, and relax in a comfortable, laid back position in a darkened room.

I used bdx for the kick, sent through disto-fx and various eq plugins. Cymbalistic was used for the hihats, with further eq and gating placed on it. The snare was from a free sample pack (i can't remember the name of) sent through a resonator, eq plugins and some soft-clippers to give it a bigger sound. Clipmax was used on the master channel.

I needed a robotic female countdown for the game i am developing and found the file by "jenninexus". Using audacity i applied some effects to it and made it faster. It sounds like champagne being poured if you would listen to it closely, or a fizzy drink, even champagne. The bubbly sound of this effect gives it it's character. This is a recording i got sat outside a retro clothes shop on portobello road in london. Distant music combined with the market and people walking past creates a busy scene with the busy road that runs over the top of the market giving a nice base to fill out the recording. I have made a patch that generates drones. Lets call this generative. . . I use feedback on my spring reverb. I only use one filter. The drone is structured by a triangle lfo and 2 comparators. It's tricky to balance the patch to give varying and interesting results. The drone is made with a 100% analog modular synth.

This is a sound i made in audacity by recording myself going "vvvvvvvvvvvvvv. . . " on two separate tracks and slowing them both down by 95% and adding a little bit of reverb. I think it's sort of convincing but i think it would be better if the pulse of the samples being copied a bunch of times kind of gives it away. Feel free to do what you like with it.

I'm trying to create an intense plasma burst for a project i'm working on, and i found two great sounds from users chipfork (https://freesound. Org/people/chipfork/sounds/73226/) and john129pats (https://freesound. Org/people/john129pats/sounds/147908/). I decided to take the charge from chipfork's and slow it down and the burst from john129pats' and give it a bit more bass and some reverb, resulting in exactly what i need.

Been downloading off this site for ages and thought i'd give something i recorded back. I drank from a glass bottle by a mic to recreate a character in a film drinking some beer from a glass bottle.
